We produce authentic Scottish knitwear using Cashmere, Linen, Cotton, Silk and Merino Wool. The entire collection is produced from our workshop in Edinburgh's Old Town. From yarn selection, through to knitting and hand finishing we strive for the highest levels of quality and take great care and attention with every garment produced. On any visit to our workshop in the Grassmarket, you will see us knitting, steam pressing, washing, linking and hand sewing garments.
If you are in Edinburgh and love beautiful knitwear Bill Baber is an absolute must shop to visit. As a lifelong machine knitter I appreciate the amount of work which goes into every single design!

We are a recently opened cozy little shop in Edinburgh city center area selling 100% natural scented candles. Our candles are handmade in our workshop in Isle of Skye using natural soya wax and fragranced with scents inspired and created by nature. This gives our candles a fresh fragrant scent to re-invigorate your senses.
The shop is very welcoming and the man behind the candle was up for a chat, very funny and welcoming. The products themselves are excellent and competitively prices with brands such as Yankee and Woodwick. What makes these candles stand apart though is the soya wax they are made from and scents that are notably different to other major brands. Me and my partner absolutely loved this shop and will continue to buy their products for the foreseeable future.

Brought here by a friend as it is right down the road from her flat. There is a variety of liquors you can choose from and taste. They also sell vinegars. I picked up a couple of flavors to bring home and I’m not sorry! I will definitely be buying more online!

Whilst visiting Edinburgh, checking out a second hand bookshop was a must, and this one looked interesting - I spotted it when passing. Inside, it is crammed with books, but not difficult to find the sections you want. The space expands in front of you, as you go further in and this is very pleasing. Great browsing and I really liked the poetry and fiction sections. Also, a good number of antiquarian books to enjoy looking at. I made a few purchases and the woman staff member serving was friendly and helpful. This would be a regular haunt if I lived here. As it is, I made a mental note to return and check out more of Edinburgh’s bookshops. If they are similar to “Armchair”, that will be great.

I often enjoy browsing here. Have bought a number of prints (my favourite one was of UK Shipping Areas) and, most recently, a screen print.

A unique gift shop with an exciting eclectic array of products. Don't miss our Harry Potter collection set in the heart of the street that inspired Diagon Alley!
An adorable little shop with three floors right in the middle of Victoria Street, the store brings to life Edinburgh's connection with the Harry Potter world while also selling cool and eclectic gifts. The staff are friendly and more than willing to help you out, and even if you aren't a Harry Potter fan you will be sure to find something in here to suit any particular fancy. Also, if you are a Harry Potter fan there is a cool photo opportunity just on the third floor!

This really is an amazing shop. It is on three levels. Be sure to go to the top of the stairs. There is a mask to dress as Donnie, the house elf. Great fun. This shop is a must for all Harry Potter fans. Classy and fun. It is thought that JK Rowling got some inspiration from here as it was previously Robert Cresswells brush shop. Don't miss it
