Kindred Spirits is located at the centre of the bustling market town of Beverley. We work directly with truly unique distillers to bring you the best in small-batch British craft spirits including gin, whisky, rum, brandy, vodka and liqueurs. The spirits are bottled on the shop floor from glass demi-johns and casks, not only providing an interesting display, but also allowing us to offer a taster before you buy. Our staff are very knowledgeable and passionate about the products, they can help you with recommendations, serve suggestions and cocktail recipes. Being born and bred in Beverley, it's strange that I'd never visited the centre before now, aged 38. I've really been missing out! I popped in early in the afternoon for a look around while waiting for my partner to finish work. It was only a quick glance around but was enough to recommend to her that we return for a deeper look. We did and it was so rewarding. The goods here are far from one-note. They have a large room upstairs dedicated to furniture, a back room dedicated to outdoor goods, too many display cases with antiques and oddities from all walks of life. Silver vesta cases, Pelham Puppets, several cases dedicated to railways - both model and the real deal. I doubt anyone could walk in here and not see at least a dozen items they want on every visit. Set aside a good 45 minute for a real dig around. The staff were extremely friendly and chatty too which is always pleasant. I only ended up spending around £15 (believe me, it could have been far more if we'd had the money to hand) but even then I was served happily despite not being there to buy some £200 display piece. We're definitely heading back after payday! Oh and there's a delightful little tea room at the back too. It was closed by the time we went back but it looked lovely from the doorway.

Always worth visiting the Saturday market, good local produce including cheese, meat, bread, preserves, plants, fruit and vegetables as well as the usual market stock of textiles and clothing. Make sure you visit the Minster too!

I loved it. All units full. Small Play area fior kids and at the moment a sand sculpture of the Minster. Quiet spot to eat lunch. Restaurants are bars too. Family and young people. Modern area but has warmth. Nothing like I expected. The 2016 reviews are negative so I suspect it was new and not given a chance. Wellingtons has great pizza and dogs welcome on Sundays. Cinema ... college... worth a visit and lunch or after work night out. Or simply shopping. Walking distance from town and train station or over the bridge to the Minster.
