THE STORY OF LENNYâS: Family Owned and Operated for over 40 Years âMy father, Joseph DeCandia, was born in Bari, Italy and came to America in 1956 at the age of 18. He took odd jobs as a dishwasher, a baker and a butcher. In 1958 he took a job at âLennyâs
Lenny's was a bit disappointing. I was expecting a fantastic seafood restaurant. Lenny's is a fish factory- large portions of average food. More careful attention to presentation and preparations would helpWe are sorry to hear that you did not enjoy your dining experience here. Your feedback is important to us. Please know that we have been in business for over 40 years because of our attention to the quality of our food and service. It is unfortunate that this did not show through on your visit. We hope you consider another one.

We went here for a family occasion. There was a large party that produced nonstop shouting and screaming that seemed ever louder because of the reflective surfaces in the restaurant. When we asked the manager to do something, he shrugged his shoulders and said he could not do anything. As a result, what was supposed to be a nice family party was spoiled. We will never go there again.

Went here after the Bushwick Art collective for a couple drinks and light fare. First off, the "painkiller" frozen drink was outrageously good!!! The tuna tartar was tasty and fresh. Gets a very young crowd with lots of energy. The bartender was friendly and helpful.

We've been here several times over the past year with family. It was a traditional restaurant and ice cream parlor for more than 50 years when it was renovated into The New Pops Restaurant. The menu changes frequently. We enjoyed a mixed seafood dish served over mashed potatoes, shrimp Parmesan. The presentation was excellent. The food was very tasty. For appetizer we shared the fried calamari, which was a little tough. We were there on a Saturday night and I DJ played Latino music at 9 pm. My only regret is they no longer serve any ice cream, which is sad since it was an ice cream parlors for so long. I had a variety of cakes, but we didn't try. The ice cream would be a nostalgic touch

Our first visit to this restaurant. PROS: Excellent paella; very good filet mignon; tasty sangria; good ambiance and clean environment; pleasant (if a tad slow) staff.CONS; Terrible fried calamari. Not a safe looking neighborhood (wouldn't want to walk it a night). Will try it again for another lunch.

Saturday. Arrived at tail end of brunch. All good until shift change and our waitress disappeared (around 4p on a Saturday). At this point we became invisible. Food was good. Bus service was good. Waitress service gets failing grade. Its really hard for me to not want to leave a tip. This day warranted it. (We still left 15% and that was way generous). Owner was there and he too was oblivious to the problem. (I hope he reads this post.) We were really dumbfounded. Brunch over at 330. Recommend not arriving between 3-330. After or before should avoid the problem we had.

Owned and operated by the Barnes Family since 1959, London Lennieâs has evolved from a quintessential fish-nâ-chips shop to the premier seafood restaurant in Queens. London Lennieâs is notorious for the best in fresh, local seafood selected daily at the w
We went to this restaurant to celebrate our friendâs 80th birthday. Although we traveled a distance to eat here because we wanted a special dinner, our waiter seemed uninterested in serving us. A simple request for an extra glass was met with the response: itâll be a few minutes. Really? The bar was a few feet away. When we told him that we were ready to order, he told us he would take it in a few minutes. This was how the whole lunch went. My request for no garlic was not heeded and was sick all evening. He even forgot to put a candle on the birthday girlâs dessert even though he was told. This is not a cheap restaurant - the bill was about $50 per person for lunch. Unfortunately the tip was automatically added, otherwise I would have left far less. There was no need to please us when you know you are getting 18% of the bill. We will never go here again! He truly spoiled the day for everyone, but especially the birthday celebrant.

We usually order the ravioli. Cheese is our favorite. Portions are wonderful tasting and very filling. Salads are fresh and crispy and nice sized. Dressings are fresh tasting. Homemade bread is hearty and delicious. Staff is most friendly and attentive. Prices are very good. Going to try their cauliflower crust pizza next time. This place is so clean and kept one would think it is brand new but it is a well established place. When he can, the chef comes out front and checks on every table. Casual dress. This is a 5 STAR Restaurant
