Food is Love and Love is Intoxicating! The "Ultimate Hide Away" spot set above the beautiful Caribbean sea over looking the coral reefs. Drunken Squid Bar & Grill is the ideal location for private dinners, wedding receptions, parties and also large events
First of all there is a lingering smell of raw sewage but besides that the ambience is lovely. My team and I spend a lot of time watching the fishes streaming by. As for service that was by far the worst I have ever encountered. The wait time for the meals was unbelievably long and the constant apologies from the waitresses got us more annoyed than the food not comming. My oder was hot and spicy wings which was warm and delicious but after that it was utter confusion between the manager and the waitresses. My order of jerk barbecue chicken and rice and peas was like waiting on manna from heaven. I actually waited for more than an hour and a half, it was cold and dry just to say the least. My jerk chicken salad was never done even though it was paid for and as for the cheese cake which was half plain cake dont get me started. Drunken Squid is not ready for business. I could go on and on describing how poor the food and service was but it would sound to much like I have a axe to grind.I must say well done to the waitresses who held their composure during our complaints. I don't like going around bashing restaurants but Drunken Squid needs better management. NOT RECOMENDEDDear Reginald S,We are very sorry to hear that you had a negative experience. We understand your concerns and are working to address all of them. Here, a few items that may explain some of the items that you mentioned in your review.First, part of the natural beauty and unique ambiance of the Drunken Squid is that it is located in a mangrove above the ocean. As a result, when there is heavy rain or high tides some water tends to stay stagnant on neighboring properties and that contributes to an unpleasant odor at times, hence the sewage smell you described. However, this is not uncommon to mangroves. We hope you understand.Second, to ensure the best quality and taste our meals are made to order. We try to be as quick as possible and are sorry if the meal time was a bit long and this is something that we are constantly working to improve. We will take your feedback into consideration. Finally, we do have new management and are constantly working to improve our service.

Pier 1 is Montego Bay's most pulsating open-air Seafood Restaurant, Bar and Entertainment Center that has been in operation since 1986. It is located on a picturesque peninsula in the heart of the bay allowing diners the perfect view for watching the crui
Visited pier1 recently, the location was beautiful, service was slow but whilst I was eating my meal a rat sat on my foot and ran through the restaurant and into the ocean! Very unsanitaryHello Beth,Pier one is a restaurant located on the seaside of downtown Montego bay. It is built on large boulders in he harbor. Over the 30 years plus we have been in operation we work very diligently at passing every health and safety inspection. As in every city, rodents can be an issue, which is why we have exterminators monthly. We are sorry that this has happened to you and we are doing everything to ensure it does not reoccur.Hope you visit again.

An elegant and sophisticated 5-star, dining experience on the edge of the Caribbean Sea, specializing in an assortment of fine wines and fresh seafood, creatively prepared.
Booked a dinner here with appreciable nervousness as the prices looked pretentiously and ridiculously expensive ... and then had a most wonderful dinner ! We both ordered salad, followed by the rack of lamb with risotto - and relished every single mouthful.Best meal I've eaten out for several years anywhere, and best meal down south ever.

I was staying at Iberostar and we decided to head over and ordered pepper shrimp. First of all, 20 min in I asked how much longer for the shrimp (thinking it was pre-prepared) and they suddenly told me 30-45 min. Donât they think this should have been an upfront disclaimer?? Itâs ridiculous that they didnât tell me this upfront. I had originally asked my taxi driver to wait on us and felt horrible we were going to make him wait and miss business as we had agreed on him waiting on us. Unacceptable. I also ordered a half pound of peppered shrimp on top of my original 1 lb order and they waited 35 min into my wait to tell me they only had 1 lb. they need to come better than this man. I also think they need more workers to keep up with the demand. I am still waiting as we speak on my order.

So we initially dismissed this restaurant thing that it was actually on a boat and my wife gets motion sick in a rocking chair. The concierge at Round Hill hotel highly recommended this place and he was spot on. It is a quaint 2-story open air âhouse boatâ that is on the water but fixed in place (you have to take a little skiff about 20 feet from the shore to the âboatâ). The food was fabulous and the view was amazing (try booking a table for sunset-you wonât be disappointed. If you need a ride to/from wherever your staying, you need to contact the best driver in all Montego Bay. His name is Goofy (876-435-1370), but there is nothing âgoofyâ about Goofy. We used him our entire stay and he is a gentle giant that will make sure you get where you want to go and youâre safe the entire time. We visited a number of âlocalâ places and got nothing but great service.

This restaurant is not only beautiful and charming, it's very good! The staff is pretty terrific and the food does not disappoint. We have gone twice now, and will more than likely make it a tradition. It's fun to get away from the "all inclusive" atmosphere for one night.

Went expecting good food like on a previous visit in 2016 as a great location on the ocean. However, after over 30 minutes of waiting for a menu, trying to place an order with a distracted server over 3 visits to our table, finally found out jerk chicken and some side dishes -- and this was at 630pm -- were out.Likely never to return and if do, even before sitting down, will ask if out of any food.Other establishments nearby, while are not on the ocean, make very good food.

Great atmosphere right on the beach, with live music. The service was really slow and less than friendly. Dinner was OK. My chicken didn't seem cooked all the way through and the cocktails were made with cheap mixers. Others in our party liked their entrees better. I'd skip this place and head down the road for better eats.
