We are a retail fresh Fish Market along with a large selection of oysters. We also offer made to order Poke Bowls for carry out. This is not a restaurant.
I live down the street, and stop in here often for some of the freshest fish I've ever had. Each fish is labeled with its source, often a local boat. It's all beautiful, and there is a good variety.FISH also carries spices and other "accessories" for cooking & serving your purchase. There are also fresh oysters to be had, as well as a few types of unusual frozen fish. And, if you don't feel like cooking, you can pick up a tuna or salmon poke bowl to go. These are a wonderful treat - and almost makes up for the lack of decent sushi in Newburyport. The staff is friendly, and happy to offer cooking tips. They even have recipes available. Be sure to stop by. You'll be glad that you did!

The Courtyard sign on the building states what this place is known for, a fantastic Roast Beef sandwich, ask for the sauce of it, best I've ever had anywhere. The seafood is also fantastic, however it is all fried, the portions are massive. The seafood plates can easily split between 2 people. The pizza and subs are pretty good, however I would not go here for those items, better in the area.Stick with the roast beef and seafood and you will not be disappointed.

I'm new to the area, and am slowly trying the restaurants nearby. My son suggested we check Starboard Galley out, so we ambled over (I'm local enough to be able to walk there). The place definitely gives off an old school vibe - which was immediately appealing. Sadly, this was the highpoint of the evening. We grabbed a drink at the bar while we waited to be seated. Our wait was short, and we were ushered to our table. The waitress appeared quickly, offering bread and waters while we scanned the menu. My son opted for the teriyaki, one of the evening's specials. I chose the surf & turf, with the fried whole belly clams. The waitress asked if we wanted fries & slaw with it, so we said yes. Only later, did we discover that baked potatoes & veggies were an option - both of us would have chosen this. Oh well...Our waitress was young, and perhaps new? The plate from our steamers appetizer remained on our table throughout dinner - only disappearing when she brought the check. That was disappointing - it was at the edge of the table, and clearly awaiting removal. She came & went so quickly that we never quite managed to ask her to take it, though it shouldn't have been necessary. My son enjoyed his salmon teriyaki. The surf & turf, one of the house favorites, was another thing altogether. My "dinner" arrived on a small oval plate - one that you might serve half a sandwich on. The small (both in size and quantity) steak tips were smothered with french fries, and those were topped with some fried clams. The plate was too small to easily cut the steak without sending fries or clams everywhere. The clams were fairly tasteless. And, at $24, it was not at all worth the cost. Our total cost, with one drink, and steamers for an appetizer, was $90 for two people. At that price, I would have expected a tastier meal.I'd have really loved to have loved this spot - close to home, locally owned, and serving the community for 40 years. But, I don't expect to be back.

We grabbed a table by the firepit, joining two couples who were traveling separately from nearby areas. One couple arrived by boat, the other by car. Together we exchanged travel tips over cocktails, with nearby water views. Tables are available inside as well as in front, with views of this beautiful brick historic town and its abundant flowers. We were enchanted by the venue, and would recommend the Sea Level Oyster Bar based solely on atmosphere and location. This bustling restaurant and bar appeared to us to be the most popular, sought out spot to enjoy historic Newburyport and all that it has to offer. I wish that we had dined here.

Welcome! The Poynt is thrilled to be up and running in downtown Newburyport! We are serving up a unique menu unlike anything else in town that includes a little something for everyone! Our menu includes dishes, created by our Chef Peter Hansen, inspired b
We have eaten at the Poynt a few times, it has a nice location and atmosphere with a lively bar area. Very modern, open layout. The food has been consistently good and the service excellent. The only downside is that it can be difficult to hold a conversation, as is common in these open layouts. Now I would only go for lunch or if I knew it was going to be less busy.Hi Robert,We are glad you enjoy our atmosphere, food and service. We understand it can get quite noisy when we are busy! Be sure to visit us for lunches on Thursdays & Fridays during the summer. Thank you for taking the time to review us, we appreciate the feedback. Thanks,Katie

This is a great location, and they've landscaped so that it's beautiful outside as well. They had some great choices in terms of food, and what we had was really good - lobster bisque had plenty of lobster in it, and the lobster roll was delicious. However, the service was slow (our server disappeared at times - one time to bring me water, which never materialized) and the lack of cleanliness was really off-putting. I've attached a photo of some sort of fixture hanging from overhead our table - and it's covered in cobwebs. Long, drippy cobwebs. (In early September - this wasn't a Halloween decoration). And a bug in the sink in the bathroom which I reported to the people at the host stand who could not have cared less. There's such potential there - I want to believe that at dinner time the service would better, but there's still the issue of the cobwebs, which didn't happen overnight.Hello, and thank you for writing about our establishment. I'm happy you enjoyed your food and our views. Being an indoor / outdoor restaurant, we do open ourselves to insects coming in, despite precautions we take such as air blowers above doorways. I'm sorry you felt the host did not care about your observation, but I do recall a host getting me for that exact reason in September. Whether it was your instance or another I am not sure. Thank you again for coming to see us and we hope you will come by the next time you are in the area. Regards,Beau

We enjoyed eating at this restaurant close to the waterfront. The place was bustling on a Saturday evening, but we were able to get an inside table. Wine by the glass was pricey, although the serving was generous. I ordered flounder, which was really fresh and came with a heap of garlic potatoes and squash. Our server was great, however, as she cleared the table, she broke my husband's water glass. An unfortunate accident that she apologized profusely for.

Welcome To Brine! Newburyport's First Oyster, Crudo and Chop Bar! We have differant oysters available each and every day, the freshest seafood selections, and prime beef selections from the butcher. Enjoy live shucking behind our bar as well as intriguing
Wow...didnât think there could be more uncomfortable seating in an eating establishment. We sat at the bar before dinner and had to turn sideways as there wasnât enough âlipâ to sit comfortably. It looks as though they tried to extend it by screwing a piece of metal on...but it was a feeble and unsuccessful attempt. The table seating wasnât much better and the persons in our party that sat on the isle were continually brushed by the hips and asses of the servers as they walked by.In terms of the service and fare....meh. Servings were very small and standard in taste. The meals came out slowly but the server came over 3 times to see if we needed additional drinks. When the food came out it was lukewarm...like they were trying to get us to order more drinks before we ate...we prefer to eat our meals sober thank you.The prices were very high and the value was extremely low. We left hungry and annoyed...at the uncomfortable seating, the pushing of drinks, the pedestrian food, and exorbitant prices. No fun AT ALL.

Good food, courteous staff, fair prices. Full of locals which usually means consistent food quality. We always look for a restaurant with a lot of locals. We had chicken salad and tuna salad. Pretty normal fair. The freshness was noticeable. The chicken salad was homemade. The place was packed for lunch and it was past 2:00 oâclock. An Enjoyable quick meal.
