Primo Piatto - No to gastronomic progress! Direct sale of pasta. Restaurant with pasta dishes, pizza, fries, grilled meat and fish. Quick lunches and dinners, low prices!

Buon rapporto qualita'/prezzo.

Imagine this, 12.30pm, Saturday 1st.September 2018, six 'Senior Citizens' having walked their 'socks off' discover most restaurants in Macerata not yet open for lunch. We walk into La Caffetteria and are greeted by a 'Young Man' - a member of the staff. With no Italian and no English, but with the use of his I Phone, pictures are shown of the dishes on the menu. The result was that six freshly prepared meals were presented in a wonderful atmosphere followed by a superb choice of deserts. Thank you to the young lady who is the chef and we believe the owner of the restaurant, well done.

I'm passionate in sushi bar and this one really upset me. I went there at lunch and the waitress started pushing us because the kitchen closes at 2.40pm and as if wasn't enough they started refilling the sauces we had at the table. even the sushi wasn't that nice, is adapted for italian taste and very quick prepared (the nori was not competely closed) and personally I hate soft cheese in my sushi. tempura was too oily and we had to ask for wasabi, soy sauce and ginger. It is a good place if you don't know good sushi bars.ps, if you want to close your kitchen at 2.40 pm, just do directly the dinner service

We stumbled across Il Cortile while wandering around Macerata on a rainy April Sunday. Wow, what a place! No frills (a real trattoria with no frills and very basic setting), but the friendliness of the staff and the quality of the food (typical from the Marche - Macerata area) are outstanding! Prices are really little (Euro 20 or under per person) and portions are huge! Thanks Livia and family, we really hope to come back soon!

Posto eccezionale
In the countryside outside Macerata, a Portuguese cook and a local lady provide very good food and a warm welcome. The place is very simple, the food is great. We had baccalá appetizers and two different baccalá second courses (the baccalá, salted cod, is one of the specialities of the restaurant), the baccalá mantecato crostini and the baccalá with potatoes cooked in milk were outstanding (a tiny suggestion, if I may.. maybe a little less indulgence on the balsamic and arugula combo... the baccalá with pancetta would have been totally amazing in its simplicity), the housewine correct, the portions good, the bill quite reasonable.
