Reviews on Seafood food in Heidelberg, Baden-Wurttemberg, Germany. Home to the oldest university in Germany, Heidelberg was hit hard during 17th-century wars and rebuilt in the 18th century with baroque buildings. For a pleasant walk, stroll through the historic city center's Gothic streets. Be sure to take in Heidelberg Castle, the symbolic heart of the city; Alte Brucke, a beautiful 18th-century bridge; and the Student Jail. Built as long ago as the 16th century, it was used to keep mischievous students off the streets for three days to a month at a time. And they say Penn State is the number-one party school!

Staying at the Marriott I decided to wander out and found myself at another hotel :). It was not clear after other reviews but I decided to try it because it looked lovely. The inside is very nice and spacious with comfortable seats and big beautiful windows. I had a super comfortable chair which I appreciate. For the daily special they had homemade pasta with Parmesan cheese and truffle. It was beyond wonderful to watch it prepared at my table. It is very simple with 3 ingredients - pasta, cheese and shaved truffle. What more could I need to power a long walk in Heidelberg? A draft of Heidelberger? They had that too. What a nice unexpected perfect lunch. Five stars and a big heart for love.

An extraordinary ship with gourmet restaurant for celebrations and unique events! Experience an exclusive event location in a very special setting, an elegant atmosphere and enjoy the most beautiful view of Heidelberg, its old town and the world-famous ca
A number of ships offer dinner cruises on the Neckar River at Heidelberg, but most of them are large modern ships, whereas the H.S. Patria is a small, historic boat that provides a much more intimate experience, with seating for only 30 diners. My wife and I started our evening with drinks on the upper deck and then at 8 p.m we went below for dinner and the cruise on the Neckar began. The cruise offers interesting views of Heidelberg and its surroundings, and then you return to Heidelberg and anchor next to the historic old bridge with a fantastic view of the Heidelberg castle (especially if you are at one of the smaller tables on the right side of the boat). On a small boat like this, the kitchen is also small, so the menu choices are limited, but the chef makes every effort to accommodate your wishes. We were in Heidelberg during the white asparagus season, so that was the main course (with a choice of different fish or meat as accompaniment). Everything was tastefully prepared, and there was also a nice selection of wines to go with the meal. I recommend this restaurant highly for the overall experience and the beautiful views of Heidelberg, especially during the evening when the historic old bridge and castle are illuminated. If the cruise and views are not so important to you, you may want to choose a more traditional restaurant with a wider range of menu choices. Thanks a lot - we are really happy, you did enjoy your evening with us. We hope to see you again some day.

It is definitely the best spanish restaurant in Heidelberg. Food is delicious but pricey. Ambience is pretty cozy. However, getting a reservation is the biggest challenge - you need to reserve your table days in advance. Sangria was disappointing. For desserts, Crema Catalana and Mousse au Chocolat are a Must.

We went here for dinner and Adnan took care of us at the bar. His drinks were excellent along with his service and attentiveness to our wishes. The sushi was fantastic with a special twist to it. Of course, being rooftop the view was fantastic. If in Heidelberg, you should not miss this!

This restaurant is tucked away on a side street just beyond the bus and tram terminus but is well worth seeking out. It was a hot evening and we sat on a pleasant patio area with a fountain and garden visible beyond. The food was excellent, tasty and reasonably well priced. There was plenty of choice on the menu (no pizzas) and a specials board. The wine was good too. We were given an English menu and the staff spoke good English. They were all efficient and helpful. It appears a popular place so I would suggest booking.

We had fantastic sushi (both fish and vegetarian) at this restaurant right in downtown Heidelberg. Service was attentive and appears to speak at least German, Japanese and English. Do not miss it if you are in need of a break from delicious German food.
