't Poorthuys restaurant is located at the border of the open-air museum Bokrijk. Beautifully located in the woods near Genk.Atmosphere is very pleasant: up to date interior with seatings on the ground floor and a private dining area on the first floor. The food is based on the French cuisine. Portions are above average. Very good wine list available.Definitely worth visiting!

Wat een topadres: heerlijk eten (en dito wijnen), attentvolle bediening én een mooi (romantisch) kader. Er is een ruime kaart en daarnaast nog een bord met talrijke suggesties. Er is een mooie aparte dessertkaart én een uitgebreid aanbod digestieven. Je wordt hier echt in de watten gelegd. Wij komen zeker terug!

Just walked past this place and decided to go inShown to a table straight away.We had a choice if5 where to sit.Downside to the restaurant is the menu is not in English.. so choosing was a problem. But the waiter spoke English. Mixed starter for 2 was lovely.Salmon main and vegetarian for me.Both deliciousRecommend to anyone.Good value and relaxed atmosphere

It was recommended by our "Eat and fun" friends, again, we were not disappointed! I ordered a set menu for 44 euro/ p.p , with a small half lobster ( quality was not super, but acceptable) with salad, accompanied with delicious mango curry sauce, main course was 250g steak, it was tender and juicy, with the same salad as lobster appetizer, the dessert was vanilla ice cream with ruba strawberry sauce. Honestly, I am quite happy to find such good steak in Belgium. I give a 4.5 point just because the lobster is a bit let down by the size and quality, overall, great service, great food, nice atmosphere and excellent companies.

Veel keuze, het eten ziet er netjes en smakelijk uit, mooi verzorgd en hygiënisch, in tegenstelling tot sommige andere wereldkeukens heb je hier wel een mooi en gezellig interieur. Veel keuze, voor ieder wat wils. Vriendelijk personeel.Alleen jammer dat kinderen zoveel moeten betalen, mijn kinderen eten amper iets, dus bij ons geen optie voor een gezinsetentje...Beste,Hartelijk dank voor jullie bezoek aan Wereldkeuken Genk en hartelijk dank voor het nalaten van deze geweldige beoordeling. We hebben met Wereldkeuken Genk gekozen om een trendy kader te creëren en producten van een hoge kwaliteit aan te bieden. Good food and service in an interesting location. We had the large tapas menu. An interesting combination of dishes that offered some pleasant surprises. Plenty of food, most dishes worked fine with the kids. Especially the grand parents appreciated the different tapas twist. Friendly and attentive staff. To summarize: a pleasant experience.

Have never imagined this small hide-away provided such high standard of food and services as one could expect only from a small number of very expensive restaurants in Tokyo.You can enjoy its garden during the meal too. Do not forget to receive the owner's suggestion for the wine.
