black & blue sets the bar for the New American Steakhouse; elegant yet unpretentious, sophisticated yet approachable. b&b offers an inventive design and unparalleled ambiance for you and your guests. Our inspired cuisine coupled with our gracious hospital
Its lovely to be greeted with acknowledgement of our anniversary plus 2 glasses of Champagne. Husband had Lobster Bisque, Oysters, Rib eye done a perfect med. rare, & Asparagus which was a little too crisp tender. I had their wonderful she-crab soup,a half salad which had a very tasty vinaigrette dressing, & Salmon which was delicious. We ended our dinner with Key lime Pie, & an order of Sorbet. What better way to celebrate. We normally don't dine on this much food, but it was worth the diet we now have to go on. Accolades to Amanda & Ryan who were very attentive to our every need.Thank you for choosing b&b for your anniversary! We hope to have you as our guests again, soon.

After two weeks of visiting Canadian friends with friends from home, I was working my way home with a planned stops in Latham and Colonie for a few days. The Red Lobster in Colonie has been a longtime favorite restaurant with me and one of my cousins from Old Chatham, NY. No trip to the Albany area was complete without lunch at the Red Lobster and an afternoon of shopping at nearby Colonie Center. And, thatâs what I did on this trip. This was my first visit to the new location. On arrival at Red Lobster, I was acknowledged and seated promptly in a comfortable booth. The waitress came for my beverage order within a minute and returned with it a couple of minutes later.I was ready to order. The Endless Shrimp special was still running, so thatâs what I got. As I remember, it was $18.99. Of the several choices of the shrimp, I took:â Red Lobster's signature Garlic Shrimp Scampi - oven-broiled shrimp in garlic butter sauceâ Sesame-Ginger Grilled Shrimp - Grilled shrimp, basted with a sweet and savory soy-ginger sauce and topped with a sesame seasoningFor a side, I got the rice. While waiting, I enjoyed a salad and a Cheddar Bay Biscuits. My entrée arrived in about 20 minutes. Everything was well-prepared. The first thing I tried was the Sesame-Ginger Grilled Shrimp. It was a new item to me. It was delicious. As expected, the combination of sesame and ginger was very tasty. I liked that a lot. I ate one whole skewer of that. Then, I had a few of the Garlic Shrimp Scampi, an old favorite. The portion of the Garlic Shrimp Scampi was like a double order. It was all more than I could handle. I was able to eat less than half of what was on the plate. I had the leftovers packed up to go. I took them home in the cooler I had in the trunk. I got two more meals from the leftovers.I thoroughly enjoyed my meal in the new location.Service was great. The place and the restroom were both clean. I rate this Red Lobster at 4.50. The quantity of shrimp, the quality of the meal, the service, and the value received were all outstanding. I can certainly recommend eating here.If you found this review helpful, please click THANK below.

Everything they sell is great. Fried stuff is NOT over done, not greasy, not piled with bread crumbs, and NOT over cooked but just right. Small but oh so good.We are so glad that you enjoyed your meal with us. Serving excellent cuisine is important to us and our customers. We look forward to having you back again soon!

My friend suggested that we dine at Barcelona's. I had never heard of it before. It is a lovely cozy restaurant located on Western Avenue in Albany by the SUNY campus. It has a Mediterranean ambiance. From the outside it is not impressive but once I walked inside the simple tasteful decor caught my attention. The staff was very attentive. There was a small bar which was busy. It had a romantic charming atmosphere. The menu had a nice variety of choices and dinner for two was $60. For dinner I had the seafood Alfredo's which was delicious. The portion size was perfect. I must confess I ate the entire dish. The fish in the dish was cooked to perfection. My drink from the bar was perfect as was the service. We skipped dessert because we were too full but a couple at an adjacent table had dessert that looked yummy. I will definitely return to Barcelona's. There is a parking lot and we did make a reservation which I would suggest.

Went there for lunch, oysters and clams,ok, what could go wrong..But wit the main course, lobster Benedict ,maybe the worst Benedict sauce ever, got sick afterwards, my wife had a horrible non "gluten-free" dry salad bowl with soy all over it etc, sent it back, were no charged..A thoroughly unpleasant experience, with snooty wait staffNever again, maybe for shellfish, but definitely not for cooked items

Athos was voted one of the 50 Best Greek Restaurants in America by The National Herald. Casually elegant, Athos serves only the very freshest seasonal ingredients, lovingly brought together using time-honored recipes and techniques, like clay pot cooking,
Elegant upscale Greek establishment with excellent service and cuisine. Delicious Athos salad with Bibb lettuce, strawberries, onions, feta and pistachios; Saganaki, grilled octopus, and smashingly fresh dolmathes (no trace of that sickly pickled taste that sabotages most versions). For the entrees, fabulous yiouvetsi with lamb shank and grilled lamb chops. Excellent overall.
