Embrace the many cultural gems the Andalusia region has to offer with a private day trip to Cordoba by train. Go on a scenic journey and see first-hand the legacy of many cultures with visits to the majestic Alcazar. The Alcazar (of the Christian Kings) features a castle, its own delightful gardens and a moorish bathhouse. This is a very popular monument. An out of this world Mezquita, The original building was very simple, but over the years different rules of Cordoba amplified the building to its current size. When you approach the Mezquita, the heavily decorated gates and bell tower attract your attention immediately. The picturesque Jewish Quarter. Córdoba's old Jewish quarter consists of a fascinating network of narrow lanes, more atmospheric and less commercialised than in Seville although souvenir shops have emerged. One thing is certain, you will always experience Seville through the eyes of a local. Our locals will show you their version of Seville.

Inclusions: Entrance Tickets, private tour, Local Guide

Exclusions: Lunch is on the guests own expenses, The Train Tickets, Hotel pick up and drop off, On Mondays the Alcazar is closed, you will visit the Jewish Quarter instead with your host

We had booked a 90 minute intro tour with Alba on our first day in Seville. It was a great way to understand more of the history of the city and take in some of the main sites. This allowed us to return to these later to spend more time. The tour was interesting and fun - thanks Alba! Nige

We took the half day afternoon trip to Segovia 11/16/20. Everything was on time and smooth. We really didn’t need the guide as she gave very little information especially once we were in the town. We walked to the Alcazar and she gave us our tickets and said meet at the bus @6:30. It would’ve been nice to have a guide inside the castle but it was fine. Just FYI if you go in the winter it is much colder and windier in Segovia than Madrid!! Seems expensive just for the bus ride there.

The Alcázar is a royal palace built for the Christian king Peter of Castile, in Seville in the fourteenth century. It is still used as a royal residence, the oldest royal palace in Europe. First of all, the views once we were inside were amazing. I booked this guide through trip advisor months in advance for our trip and it was one of the main highlights. 12 hours the night before our hike, our guide texted me saying he needed to cancel the hike. After asking if there was anything else he could do to be able to go he got back with me saying it was back on. We were also very late to our scheduled time to enter because our guide was unaware of the different route required do to recent rain. It was very stressful once we were there because they would not let us in for our guided tour because we were late. After a lot of arguing between our guide and the workers they let us in the hike on our own without a guide. This experience ended up being exactly what we wanted anyway, without the tour guide! Over all hiking the Caminito Del Ray was everything we expected and more. I think this tour was worth it just because it was a convenient way to get from Seville and back. I would say it was definitely disorganized as the pick up location changed multiple times and the hike almost being cancelled in less than 24 hours before, but at the end everything worked out. I would recommend this if you need a ride from Seville, but I would also recommend looking into taking a train and buying tickets from their website as the hike itself is about a tenth of the price of this guide.

9. Journey to Ronda by bicycle.

Calle Luis Montoto, Sevilla, Spain Sevilla Moving

When the european and american romantics “discovered” Andalucia at the end of the 18th c. there were a number of popular routes upon which these travelers set out to discover for themselves on horseback. Here we have a lovely four day route by bicycle which is inspired by these romantic perigations of poets & painters past. Leave the city of Carmen behind you and ride south east in four stages which will lead out over the rolling landscapes of the valley guadalquivir and gradually wend with you into the hills and mountains of the Sierra de Cadiz. You will keep to rural pathways, green ways and old drove roads, and in the proper tradition of these wanderings you will pass by spanish castles, river mills, stone bridges, old towns and hidden villages, through long tunnels and ever varied landscapes until arriving at your destination of Ronda.

Inclusions: Use of bicycle

Exclusions: Lunch
