They have menus in German and English and I chose the menu A of the day. This consisted of a boil of hot water with a few overcooked noodles in it which had congealed together. The main meal was a egg and breadcrumbed escalope with a lump of stodgy rice. The meal came to 1,390 Forints but the waiter would only give me change FOR 1,500 Forints to which I objected but still would not give me my full change

We ate at the restaurant because we were staying in a nearby hotel and wanted something different that the hotel menu for lunch.
We arrived and the place looked absolutely deserted. When going inside, we saw we were the only guests. Despite the place being empty, the server was very kind and helpful. We ordered two different venison dishes, both of which were extremely good and tasty, the portion sizes very large. Wine was great too.
The prices are half of what you would expect in Budapest (2500HUF or ~9 EUR for the venison, which was the most expensive dish on the menu)
They also have a wide variety of palacsinta (Hungarian pancake). We had the Gundel variety, which featured a dark chocolate sauce worthy of any high end restaurant.
The first meal was so good in fact, that we ended up ordering the exact same thing the next day, which we never do.
Overall great experience, great food!

Afeter 2 years we returned to Zalakaros.Due to our 2 years memories we decided to come back to Sasha Restaurant.After 2 Years the owner recognized us.Again nice experience.Good balcan food. They really care if You like the food served, if not they do everything You enjoy Your stay.

+ Really tasty and fresh food, the biggest portions in Zalakaros
+ Quality to price ratio - excellent. Cheap meals and as I said really big ones.
+ Card payment possibility
Overall - excellent.
I recommend breaded cauliflowers, both Jokai, and normal goulash soups, Cordon Bleu chicken and fried cheese.

Supr cisnik , vtipny, rychly a ochotny. Dobre piti a vyborne kvalitni jidlo a velke porce. Great waiter, witty, fast and willing. Have a good drink and great quality food and great serving.
