Since 1995,high up on the mountain top the restaurant "Rachi" offering an exquisite view of the Ioanian Sea is really enticing to those who actually wish to drink their coffee, savour our homemade delicacies, our freshly gathered vegetables from our garden, taste our local meat and enjoy our wine.
Rachi was reccommended to us as a nice place to go for my birthday by a lovely lady we met at Avali Cantine down at the beach nearby.
It didnt disappoint.
The restaurant is on 2 levels high up in Exanthia overlooking the sea. There are tables inside but the main event is watching the sunset from the tables out on the Terrace. We arrived after 6 but had no trouble getting seated on the Terrace as it is end-of-season.
It can get a bit cold but the waiters will bring you a blanket for your knees. I must have looked like a tough guy because my girlfriend got one but I didn't despite asking twice - lose a point..
The menu was not extensive with say 8 main courses and similar numbers of salads, starters and desserts on offer plus 1/2 a dozen specials. The prices were shocking. Shockingly cheap that is. Top priced main was beef rib at €14 & a greek salad (decent & very large) was €5.
The sun duly set with lots of nitwits taking (ugh) 'selfies' of themselves against the background of a spectacular Greek sunset.
Looking at other reviews it seems Rachi gets very busy in season with 2 hour waits for a table but fair play to the owners for doing good food at ludicrously cheap prices. With that view and location they could easily get away with another 50% or more on the price and people would be happy to pay.
Our food was pretty good with large portions. I had the stuffed pork steak from the standard menu (nothing special) and my girlfriend had a pork fillet dish with lovely sauce. Hers was nicer but she wasnt feeling well & wasn't hungry so I ate a lot of it - as did a couple of huge well-fed cats.
We did get the cocktail menu (which is where they make the money I suspect) but were too slow to take our order & missed out on €25 or so. The salad had already arrived so we got the house 'red' which was actually rosé (red being called 'black' for some reason).
So a couple of service fails but overall a good experience at a great price. €35 all in.

"Kanioria" is a family restaurant located at the seafront.Nothing can be compared with dining at such a peaceful and beautiful place. Olive oil and fresh ingredients are used for our recipes. Try locally caught fish at reasonable prices here. House and regional wines are excellent. Dessert is always available.
Great food hadn't all including fussy teenagers, beautiful spot to dine, service great and so relaxed.

Make sure you come to this small sweet shop to try loukoumadaki which is very similar to
Turkish lokma. But they don't serve it in the syrip, instead they put honey or chocolate on the top and ice cream next to it. It's a delicious must!!

We have been there 2 times in 2 days. Mussaka is amazing, the pizza is very good. Wine 0.5 kg for 3 euro. We simply loved it, there is always full of people, but they will find a place for you. Easy restaurant but you feel they really care about you in there. Prices are very low, we recommend it!

I visit Lefkada every summer and I've been going to this place for more than 10 years. It keeps getting better and better. The owners are so passionate about their business! All of their products are locally sourced (and most of them they produce themselves). If you want to try simple, healthy and tasty local dishes this is the place to go. Tips: try their turokafteri dip and the ntakos lentil salad as starters, have fried baby squid and grilled octopus as mains. Also, their fish is always so fresh and delicious. Finish off with one of their homemade preserves. Satsuma is personally my favourite, and I also like kiwi and grape. I just can't recommend this place highly enough!

Tucked-away family restaurant, in Tsoukalades village on Lefkada island, offering to its guests delicious home-made dishes, take-away packages, free parking and free Delivery to the neighboring villas. We love these services!
Definitely, not a place for visitors seeking touristic venues, on the contrary, a place for those searching for an authentic Greek cuisine in a homelike environment. Don't miss Elia's speciality "Arnaki sta kalamia" (lamb roasted on straws) and home-made dessert 'Galaktoboureko"! Finally, Elia's cocks are home grown!!!

We enjoyed the large menu and well prepared food, although maybe a bit mild for our tastes (but that is personal preference). The outdoor Seating is perfect for a casual night. The staff all speak good English, their recommendations were very helpful, and they are so friendly and laid back, yet very professional. Prices are cheap - for my family including two teenaged girls, we got 3 appetizers, entrees, a bottle of water, a beer, and some outstanding watermelon for 40 euros.
With the exception of awesome watermelon, they do not offer dessert. They also do not take credit cards.

My husband and I were delighted to find this hidden treasure! We were welcomed with such friendly faces and told to go into the kitchen and chose what we would like to eat, everything fresh. We were so impressed we visited several times and will certainly return next year when we come back. The stuffed peppers and tomato were some of the best we tasted in Greece, the beef is a must try! So tender and full if flavour. The mutton was again delicious, very soft and flavoured. And do try the home brew wine! The cost is very good, average around 20 euros for lots of food and good wine. Thank you for making us feel at home in your lovely restaurant, see you next year!

Nissi means Island in Greek and we take inspiration for our menu from the Mediterranean Islands of Greece. Kuzina meaning kitchen in Greek is traditionally the room in the house where family and friends meet; a warm and welcoming place. All our dishes are home made in our kitchen and prepared using the freshest ingredients delivered daily to our restaurant.
We shared the special " Grilled seafood for 2 persons" . It had swordfish, tuna, shrimp, and octopus. All served on top of fried potatoes, spinach and a green salad.
It was delicious and perfect for two people.
Amazing value at 30eu.
Good service and friendly staff.
