Hannes Boy is a unique but homey restaurant that offers a cosy and romantic environment at Siglo's marina village. It is located in the bright yellow house by the marina in Siglufjordur. The restaurant Hannes Boy is named after a local legend and fisherman. The Icelandic menu, including our signature salted cod and excellent lamb dish is an excellent choice for those wanting to relax in a cosy environment and enjoy the beautiful view of the surrounding Mountains and marina. Hannes Boy opened in 2010 and is an excelent place to enjoy finer dining. The restaurant is open every day during the summertime, from June until end of August. During wintertime it is mostly open for groups or special occasions. Hannes Boy is one of Siglo Hotel's three local restaurants. The other two restaurants are Kaffi Raudka and restaurant Sunna that is located within the hotel.
We came as a group and were shown into a big room that gave me a feeling of a warehouse someone had put some tables and chairs in. I've seen pictures on their site, but the location we were in was nothing like the photos. The food was average but the service was very poor....f.eks. we bought bottles of wine, but had to wait for wineglasses as they had to go somewhere else to get them. They obviously forgot all about us so after 15 min. waiting I went to get them. Well, she came back with the six glasses I needed, but lots of other people were also waiting for glasses. Very expensive evening compared to what we got.

Kaffi Raudka is located in a brigt red house by the marina in Siglufjordur. It is an excellent place to meet the locals and breathe in the atmosphere of this nice little fishermen's town. Kaffi Raudka opened in 2011 and is now open all year around. Warm home cooked meals are served during lunchtime during weekdays and visitors can also order from a diverse menu including everything from cakes and sandwiches to traditional Icelandic hashed fish or BBQ baby back ribs making it an excellent choice for the whole family. In Raudka's outdoor area it is possible to play beach volleyball, mini golf and giant chess during summertime. The north side of Kaffi Raudka is also used as a music hall and Concerts are hosted there regularly. Kaffi Raudka is one of Siglo Hotel's three local restaurants. The other two restaurants are Hannes Boy and restaurant Sunna that is located within the hotel.
We were quite hungry when we arrived by chance in this nice restaurant near the harbor.
There were a number of locals enjoying their lunch and after asking their recommendation we ordered the fisherman salad with shrimps, smoked salmon slices and boiled egg, Krone 2250, euro 18. 5/5 and the Hashed Fish, potatoes with rye bread and butter, 2350 Krone, euro 19 5/5. The service is friendly and efficient 5/5
For Iceland reasonable prices.
We recommend this place, relax ambiance, tasty food and cosy.

On a very wet evening in mid May it was great to find this little cafe open. The owner was charming and informative. My husband ordered the baked cod , which he thought was delightful with lots of flavour and olive oil. I had the fish soup which was a mixture of cod, trout and shrimp in a delicious spicy tomato base. Both dishes were accompanied by some tasty bread and butter.

After a day of driving and whale watching, we stopped by Siglufjordur and enjoyed a few pastries, hot chocolate, and the free wifi. This cafe has a great selection of treats. We especially enjoyed the cinnamon buns smothered in chocolate! Highly recommend this stop if you're in this lovely fishing village.

Having been burnt by appalling hotel meal on our first night in Iceland we were very pleased to find this establishment close to our hotel. The burgers were excellent, the house wine generous and the service perfect. Well done to all concerned with this Enterprise and a big thank you for saving us from another expensive disappointment.

We had dinner at the hotel restaurant one night during a reent stay. The dining room has great views of the harbor. The menu is limited but the food is great. We tried the lamb, a steak and the char; all were cooked perfectly. The Deserts were also quite good. We had the chocolate cake, a lime tart and creme brule. There is a wine list with more selections than normal for Iceland. They also have full bar and offer cocktails. The wait staff all spoke excellent English and were friendly. Service was bit slow by American standards. Prices are typically high for Iceland. Plan on at least $50 per person.

Good
What a wonderful place this is. Delicious, authentic Moroccan food in Siglufjördur of all places. The dining hall is cosy, the service friendly, the food excellent. What a treat. We were here last year also and our opinion stays the same. If this restaurant were in Morocco, it would still be one of the best!

Frida chocolate is a cafe, founded and run by Friða, a local artist, where she makes and sells artisanal chocolate, excellent coffee and exhibits her art work. Her art theme centers around transforming chairs and painting Icelandic horses. The chair you sit on, the paintings you look at and the cup you drink from are all for sale, as well as boxes of handmade chocolate.
We had two chocolates and coffee, this place looks small outside, but it's quite spacious inside. We had a very relaxing time and chocolates were lovely, we also bought some. The lady at the counter didn't speak English much which is a bit shame, otherwise I would have asked more about the flavour of chocolates.

The fish is so fresh; it melts on your tongue. Perfect fish and chips for 1790kr. When you hang around: do not discuss or even hesitate, just go.
