Probably the best dining option on a Saturday. A large stone covered lodge....very Up North. Also seating on the porch.... I recommend this.
Had the breaded Perch.....came with salad, bread, rice pilaf and a julienne of vegetables. It was excellent. Reasonably priced. Credit cards accepted. Large parking lot.

Very friendly service. The young lady was a life long resident, and shared her knowledge of local attractions. Good selection of ice cream. Nice to sit and look out at the marina. It was a rainy day so a good place to come inside. Easy access from Route 25. Cash only....no credit or debit cards.

With ten people hungry for a late Friday lunch, Mary's was able to accommodate our family with a moments notice (sometimes that's not a good sign). What we found was a quaint, comfortable restaurant that appeared to be lost-in-time. Very basic menu (although an assortment of foods), and primitive surroundings (one unisex bathroom that doubled as a storage room) made for an enjoyable, but underwhelming lunch.

Dropped in for lunch on Sept 7/16 and was extremely pleased with the food, service and experience. My husband had the club sandwich which was fresh, massive and delicious. I had a grilled steak salad which was seriously large enough to feed 3 adults. Steak was cooked to order and was very tender. The ranch dressing was homemade as was the iced tea. This is a great place to eat!

The Sanilac County crowd that I frequently hung around with mentioned the amazing food that Shady Shores had, so I decided to visit here for lunch while visiting the nearby city of Lexington. I had a buffalo burger and french fries. My husband also had a burger with french fries. I asked for fried mushrooms instead of french fries, but I got both instead. The food was of average quality - the burgers were a bit better than average. The biggest negative of this restaurant was the service. It was very slow. It took at least a half hour for the food to come out. I wouldn't totally blame the waitress because she seemed to be the only one manning the restaurant. There was also numerous bikers in there. However, it was a Saturday afternoon, so I'd expect more workers to be working. Prices were average.

Service was okay but took forever to get drinks. actually cancelled my second drink it took so long. My wife ordered chicken salad chicken was cold and had no seasoning. I ordered the duck it was OK but was cold not worth 22.00 . Waitress apologized but no attempt was made to compensate for the lousy experience.

The name & the lovely building will get you in. The tasty & abundant food & friendly staff will get you to return. Good BBQ choices (& ice cream & gifts); house sauces that are really good. (I recommend adding the horseradish-based sauce to the coleslaw to give it some "kick".)

Stopped in after sailing for take out picnic. Patty melt and California wrap were yummy. Because it was a holiday, place was busy but we found a shady spot to wait to pick up and eat in the park overlooking the marina. I understand their pizzas are awesome. They sure looked good.

Went there on a Tuesday evening and when we arrived, we were informed that they only served dinner on Friday and Saturday! Had checked their web site before and when we asked about it, we were informed that they were behind in updating. All in all, unsatisfactory!
