Pittsburg is a town in Coos County, New Hampshire, United States. The population was 869 at the 2010 census. It is the northernmost town in New Hampshire and the largest town by area in the state – and in New England as well – more than twice the size of the next largest town, Lincoln. U.S. Route 3 is the only major highway in the town, although the northern terminus of New Hampshire Route 145 also lies within Pittsburg.

Stopped in for lunch and had the salad and soup special. Soup was nothing to write home about. It was some type of cream-based kitchen sink vegetable soup. The base was almost like a New England clam chowder base without the clams.
We came back for dinner the following day and I had the prime rib. My mother had the whole belly clam plate. The salad that came with my meal came with one cherry tomato and the bread rolls were like little bread nuggets that were stale. The waitress was somewhat friendly. I had ordered my soda with lemon which she forgot and when she finally did bring it to the table I got to put one piece into my soda and then she took the plate away when the food arrived. The prime rib was awesome it was cooked just the way I ordered it baked potato was good. All in all I would go back.

This is an excellent restaurant. The dining room is nicely furnished as you would expect for a New England Inn. The menu has something foe everyone and I feel is moderately priced. I had the filet mignon which was very good.

We went for dinner, after experiencing a stellar breakfast over the summer. The service wasn't great -no offers to refill any drinks -ever. After placing our orders, one of our party was informed that the item he'd selected was out. So he chose the same meal as another of our party. Maybe 30 minutes later, they were both informed that that meal was sold out, too. They each chose new meals, but, apparently, only one got written down, as, some time later, our server came back and asked what he'd ordered.
We tried the poutine, thinking that so close to the border, it was bound to be good. What we received was a plate of unremarkable fries covered by lukewarm gravy and not-at-all melty cheese curds. Not very good, but it's a good thing we had it because it was at least a half hour before we received our meals.
The soups were strange, and the salad was mostly rotten.
The chicken pot pies were not good. They weren't at all browned on top, and mostly filled with potatoes. The mashed potatoes may have been the only good part of the meal.
The scallops were okay, unless you got the fried ones, which were totally mushy on the inside.
We will never go back for dinner. I'd be hard-pressed to talk anyone into even going for breakfast again.

First time visiting the Rainbow Grille & Tavern. Started the evening with a drink in the Tavern. Beautiful night and beautiful views. Dinner in the restaurant was wonderful. We all had beef and it was delicious. Service was great and we had many laughs with our waitress. Reservations are a must!

We were thrilled to find Buck Rub Pub open for a late lunch when we arrived in Pittsburg. The place has a nice atmosphere and there were many locals eating there (a good sign). Service was really attentive and friendly. I had the grilled chicken sandwich and my boyfriend had the Haddock Sandwich - which he raved about! The fries were also a standout. Prices were very reasonable. Don't miss this spot if you find yourself in the Pittsburg area!

The Happy Corner is just about the only small restaurant in the CT Lakes region - and they know it. The food is standard fare. Unfortunately, the breakfast help appears miserable. I understand they're stressed and probably over-worked and unappreciated. I get that. The restaurant was closed during the evenings we were there. The sign on the door was rather telling - "We are closed - no evening cook available." A local told us the owner doesn't treat his staff well. It shows. Hopefully, she reads this post and things improve for the staff. Otherwise, the food is fine.

There are two locations of grampys. We stopped at the one roadside next to an iga store. Super friendly server at the window. Fried dough was amazing. Side table has you put your own condiments on. So I Guess I Get some credit! Lol. A fellow patron got an ice cream sundae for $5.50 which seemed high for such a small ice cream. They sell foods but this is fast food no gourmet restaurant. They have scattered picnic tables with tent coverings for the sun. The server alone was worth the stop. Great snack stop.
