A family friendly place to eat, drink, and be merry in Oroville, Washington. The Pastime Bar & Grill celebrates local flavors with wholesome, tasty food priced right. Our rustic yet modern dining room and bar provide a fun, casual atmosphere that's a great place to meet for any occasion.
I rated this just 1 point under Excellent, only because you have to be at least 21. That sometimes is a disappointment when friends or family are in town and not everyone is of age yet. Otherwise, beautiful bar, great service and friendly locals.

Hometown Pizza has a great salad bar. They have lots of choices. So if you like Caesar salad you could make a Caesar salad. If you like more of a Greek salad you could make a Greek salad complete with feta and Clamato olives. There are so many choices. Interesting thing is they sell the salad by the pound. So you fill your plate and then they weigh it. I thought this might be a lot more expensive but it wasn't. You can get seconds and then they weight again. If you are into salad and salad bars I would recommend this place. Not to mention they have great fries and a very impressive bakery.

"Trino" (the owner, Trinidad) knows how Hispanic food should be prepared and served. At Trino's Restaurant, you get a large serving of wonderfully flavorful food that is freshly prepared and served with authentic Hispanic style in this quiet town of Oroville, Washington. If you are travelling through, visiting historical sites, or live nearby, Trino's is the place to go! The atmosphere is nice but casual wear is appropriate since the recreational attractions in the area are plentiful. I love the Chicken en Mole with the dark, rich sauce, but my husband prefers chili rellenos and a selection of entrees from the combination platters. Great food and really nice atmosphere.

We were looking for somewhere for lunch after our golf game. Found this wonderful place on the Main Street. To begin with the decor is incredible. Lots of bright Mexican style paintings on walls, but the highlight is the individually carved and painted tables and chairs. Menu is impressive and varied, including domestic and Mexican cerveza. Our waiter Adrian was friendly and efficient. He even brought us a complementary plate of dessert pastries. We will definitely be back during our next visit to Oroville.

This isn't a fancy place although the décor is quite pleasand. Not fancy and fussy. Just plain good food, well prepared and all meals (3) the food has arrived piping hot. We cross the border and go there just for lunch. The young lady who owns the place is friendly and such a hard worker. She takes pride in the food her cooks put out and with good reason. Plain, simple, tasty. We don't have room for dessert but the ones on display look tasty and a nice variety as well as flavored ice cream. From Osoyoos, B.C. it is a very short drive and the Customs personnel are very used to people just popping over for a meal or day trip down to Omak. They are thorough and pleasant on both sides.

I tried both their tongue and pork tacos. Both were very good. I especially liked the spice of the pork. While visiting family in Oroville, my husband visited here twice. The second time I got to try the tacos. He was very impressed at how authentic they were. I agree.

Not much to look at inside or out but the food is good. Locals seem to hang out there. Its on a side street so you have to look for it.

We were looking forward to trying this new rdiner in the new resort Veranda Beach on Osoyoos Lake. Once we reached the resort, we had to ask someone for directions as there was no clear signage. The decor was similar to sitting on a rustic cabin veranda - wood floors, wood picnic tables and screened open windows. Service was very very slow and we were made to feel like we were intruding rather than welcome. The menu selection was very limited - mostly hot dogs, hamburger, taco type meals. ( I would have thought that the people staying and cooking in their " cabins" would go to the diner for a change from their barbecued dinners.) When the meal finally did come, it was not even appetizing to look at or eat. My husband and I were very disappointed in our whole experience.

The Hornets Nest has a great selection of very tasty burgers. The burgers are cooked to order but worth the wait and the prices are reasonable.
