The food is good, burgers are excellent. Poutine left a lot to be desired...way overpriced for what you get. Dont waste your money on their 'taco in a bag'. its cheap garbage that they sell for like 7 bucks. The place looks scuzzy on the outside with the rotting building and all, but cant say on the inside.

It was a perfect lunch!
Sunny day so we sat on the patio overlooking the water. Home made mushroom soup was great! Hamburger steak with onions and mushrooms was excellent! My son says the Reuben was great. Home made peach pie and ice cream for dessert, then a coffee to finish off a perfect meal. Excellent service too.
It came out a bit on the pricey side, but that's OK since it was a perfect lunch.

Recommended by a local. Varied menu. Very friendly and passionate waitress/cook who was very happy to extol the virtues of this and that dish. We were all very happy with our choices. Nice view from the outside balcony on the bay below. Prices were a bit steep for the fare offered, but this is probably a seasonal, tourist based business.

They put your wraps and sandwiches together right in front of you, on the counter they just laid your change on. Flies live in the faucets, and the staff yell at each other while you're ordering. My advice is to eat somewhere else.

The restaurant offers vegetarian friendly and gluten free options. The Marina Restaurant is dedicated to purchasing food locally. Yesterday I enjoyed a the lunch special which was a lovely cup of Farmer Fancy soup and a chicken salad Sandwich. The view from the patio is of the stunning Lake Superior.

We tried this restaurant once previously, and, although it wasn't great, we thought we would give it another chance. Oops, bad idea! We arrived at the end of the lunch hour with our two grandchildren when it was fairly busy, fully expecting to have to wait a little while for our order. When I placed my order and paid, the machine asked about adding a tip, so I jokingly asked the cashier how the service was going to be. He indicated that it was going to be alright, so I picked a middle tip option to coincide with his less than enthusiastic service forecast. Oops again. We patiently waited for an hour before finally inquiring as to the whereabouts of our order at which time we were told that there were still two orders ahead of ours. When the meals finally arrived another 5 minutes later, they finally admitted that our order had actually gotten misplaced. No apology was offered. My wife asked about some restitution for the mixup and was told that the manager would have to be consulted. Unfortunately, the manager never showed up to offer any compensation or apologize for the mixup or the poor service. We also complained to a second worker, who did nothing and made no attempt to confer with a manager or apologize. So, customer service, 0/5. The time to being served was unacceptable, an apology was absent, and it was obvious that multiple members of the staff had inadequate training on how to handle it when customers had a complaint.
The food was average. I had a chicken wrap and had to verify with one of the staff that that is what I had been served. Maybe they were running low on chicken, because I had a hard time finding much in my wrap. The water was fine, but you had to serve yourself.
This isn't the first restaurant that I have rated as you can see, but it is certainly one of the worst experiences that I have encountered in my travels. If you are looking for great service and food in Nipigon, treat yourself to the Edgeview Restaurant which is also listed as Sunnyside Cafe (they are both the same place but listed twice in the trip advisor ratings).
I dislike rating a restaurant poorly, but hopefully the owners will read this and add customer service training to their "Things to do" list.

The restaurant has great staff, good food, and easy access. The day I visited the restaurant was swamped with a group of motorcyclists. The staff kicked into high gear and got the bikers and other customers served quickly. The food was good with gravy on your French fries if you wanted. Locals and tourists were treated as friends - a real comfortable place to eat on a long road trip.
