We walked past the Artemis Taverna in Marmari a few times as it was just down the road from our hotel.
Very friendly & helpful waiter. Approachable and not pushy waiters.
We ordered a local homemade lemonade, and found it extremely refreshing. A little pricey at 4.50 Euros each drink, but then you're paying for the view as well as the excellent views of the beach!

We went here a couple of times during our stay in Marmari - it's 2 minutes walk from the beach - the first thing you'll notice is the beautiful garden area - it's green & lush - the second thing is how friendly the staff & owner are - they made us feel right at home
They have a huge TV which showered the England game v San Marino - the owner even made sure it was on for us - their Gyros are absolutely delicious & their cocktails the best we had in Kos - absolutely perfect blend of fruit & booze
Highly recommend a visit

Loved this little cafe. Wonderful warm welcome and fantastic food. I wish we had found Biggy's earlier! Set near the stunning beach of Marmari, by far the nicest of the island. The food is fresh, authentic Greek with lots of flavour. You must visit if you are on the island of Kos.

Palapanis bakery in Tigaki has been working since 1993. It is commonly known as Anna's bakery too. From very first beginning, Palapanis bakery has been known for its fresh baked goods and family, inviting atmosphere. In 2013. Anna Palapani, original owner, passed her oven to her son Giannis. Today, we are modern bakery with traditional products.
This absolutely gorgeous little cafe is a little hidden gem in tigaki. It's so cute, quaint, gorgeous atmosphere and the most lovely staff. We eat here almost every day and got coffees, crepes and waffles! Honestly they are the best I've ever had! We couldn't stay away haha I loved the decor, the seats, the food, EVERYTHING haha best place for dessert in the whole place!!

Traditional village house (1931) made into a cozy cafe. Best ambience for sunset and attention to detail.
Lovely little find at the near the top of the hill in Zia
The homemade lemonade was delicious and the views spectacular. It was also extremely clean.
The host was great, free bottle of water and a cake offering too
Would recommend. Extremely relaxing. Shame we couldn't stay longer

We were spending two weeks in Tigaki and as we had a car for a couple of days we decided to visit Ampeli, due mainly to the excellent TA reviews.
From the main area of Tigaki you would need to catch the hourly bus towards Kos (getting off at the far end of Tigaki at the bus turn-around) or get a taxi as it would be quite a walk for most people.
Arriving just after 7pm the restaurant was fairly full, but we just managed to get a table for two but had to wait around 30 minutes before someone took an order.
The restaurant itself is in a wonderful vine-covered area inside an garden in which most of their own vegetables are grown.
The menu included over 30 items of appetisers, which were big and cheap enough at Eu2.50 each to put together to form a meal in itself.
We had two of these to share as starters, plus a main course each, together with a litre carafe of a very good local wine.
The food and prices were excellent and although the service was fairly slow due to the number of people there we enjoyed our evening in these unusual settings and would certainly return again.

Just like old fashioned Greek hospitality. Tomato, cucumber, cheese, sardine etc. With every drink, free. And they don't like no thank you as a response! We sat at a small table in the front, by the road, surrounded by Greek locals chatting and laughing. Wonderful.
