I had not had the opportunity to try a malasada yet so it was worth the trip. The bakery is tiny but the line moves fast and the service is efficient and friendly. There is a lot of choice. We tried both original and chocolate-filled.
It basically tastes like a mix of donut, churro, and beignet. Tasty, very sweet and must be consumed hot. It is a bit heavy, as if the dough has not been fully cooked. Definitely worth a try.

This place has a great feeling when entering. There is a decent size menu and lots to look at. The staff is great! The gentleman behind the counter let me sample many kinds of poke which was very nice. My dish consisted of a handful of different poke such as shoyu, ahi, spicy ahi, and garlic. It was all amazing.

HOPA is a Hawaiian treat shop best known for its all-natural, homemade, real fruit shave ice served with Pure Aloha daily. HOPA Aina Haina is our first and original House launched in 2011 in Aina Haina Shopping Center. At HOPA our mission is to cultivate Pure Aloha one person, relationship, and community at a time.
A perennial local favorite. You can choose your own combinations or go with preset ones they have.
The portions are good as is the flavor of the syrups. But I did not think they rise above other shave ice etablishments on this (or other islands).
Where they excelled, hovever, is the super nice and friendly staff.

Coffee here is okay. Other reviewers rave about their coffee but it’s not that great. It’s located in the Hyatt regency complex.
Service was friendly and quick. They have some quick bites you can get here as well.
Not worth a special trip for a cup of joe but if passing by , consider a stop

I’ve had my fair share of shaved ice - especially during our visit to Maui but this place beats them all. Other places use syrups but here they use purees which were so aromatic and flavourful. My only wish is that they served it with macadamia nut ice cream... they only had soft serve vanilla.

Modern cafe with onsite-bakery, featuring Kona coffee and authentic French pastries baked fresh throughout the day.
This café, at the entrance to International Marketplace, is the best overall café in Waikiki! Absolutely incomparable selection of pastries to choose from, fantastic cappuccinos (including decaf and with almond milk), great atmosphere with tables inside and outside, and terrific service!

This place was recommended to me and what a recommendation it was!! Just up from Safeway on Kapahulu Avenue this is breakfast heaven. So much to choose from at very reasonable prices for Waikiki. I opted for the mega stuffed breakfast burrito. Will definitely return. The walk here from Hilton Hawaiian Village took about 50mins. 2 must stops on the way back are Leonard's bakery and Da Hawaiian Poke Company

Ahi poke bowl with brown rice was truly delicious. The lines out the door prove this is the place to eat! In an area that does not look very safe, but everything is fine. Plenty of locals and tourists around. Very limited parking and no seating inside. There are only 2 picnic tables outside so many people take their food to go. Everything is reasonably priced. We were able to sit at one of the picnic tables and enjoy our lunch. It was outrageously fresh and delicious! HIGHLY recommend.

Banan is a food truck built by four childhood friends who grew up on Oahu. After graduating from separate universities across the states in spring of 2014, they decided to put their heads together to pursue an entrepreneurial endeavor that would push the world in a mindful and playful direction. Turning locally grown bananas into a dairy-free soft serve became their vessel to do so!

We offer four flavors at our truck: Banana, Acai, Greens (ginger, mint, spirulina), and our fourth is always a changing seasonal flavor

Our soft-serve is dairy-free, gluten-free, vegan, paleo, and all that healthy stuff!

Farm-to-Table and Table-to-Farm:
Hawaii imports around 90-percent of our food to feed locals and visiting tourists. Here at Banan, we strive to flip that number and source as many locally grown ingredients as possible! We also give all of our nutrient rich food waste to pig farms, food farms, and local gardeners to be used as pig feed or compost.
Read about this truck on a blog before coming to O‘ahu on vacation. It definitely lived up to the hype I read about! So light refreshing and tasty! I wanted to try them all!!
