The restaurant itself is a little rough around the edges but they are ready to provide a good meal. I selected the broiled scallops and was delighted to receive perfectly cooked large, succulent scallops accompanied by nicely prepared mashed potatoes and vegetables. The server we had was a hoot, very nice, with running commentaries. My sisters both had the baked stuffed shrimp. I traded off some scallops and truly enjoy the shrimp too. Adequate parking behind and along side the restaurant. Getting out (taking a left out of the parking lot) is a bit dicey so be prepared to take a right and then turn around up the road if the street is busy. Fairly priced meals. Would recommend.

Met a friend here for lunch since itâs half way for us both. I had the roasted tomato and red pepper bisque. Wow. Was it ever good. Then I had the spinach salad with the lemon/herb marinated chicken skewers. Great salad. The chicken was expensive for what you get. My friend had the baked French onion soup and a Ruben sandwich. She said it was delicious. The staff was great. Would definitely come back.

First, the atmosphere and âvibeâ was fun. Service was lacking. It took 15 minutes until we met our server, and from then on we spent most of our time looking for her - long waits for every phase. It wasnât THAT busy. Food, however came out in a timely manner, brought by an expediter. An hour and a half spent here for burgers and no offer for drink refills. Where was MJ???? The burgers and fries were very good. We also had a flight of drafts, and every glass had different levels of beer (short) and the slots in the flight board were full of beer. We would have asked for extra napkins, but we needed a server to get them. By the way, the menu(s) are ridiculous - WAY TOO MUCH. Like I said, a mixed bag.

The soups are to die for the sandwiches like chicken parmigiana or chicken and broccoli rabe are fabulous. salads are great too.Billy the bartender will make you a refreshing drink sit inside or out in nice weather.. Really worth stopping by for lunch or dinner.

Snuggled in the middle of a residential neighbourhood, Ordinary Joe's is a hidden gem in Oakville, CT. The wings are excellent, with a wide range of flavours and sauces. Traditional Hot, Medium, Naked and BBQ are supplemented by Cajun, (my fav), Hot & Sweet, Raspberry Chipotle and others. Fries are done just right and the burgers are excellent too. Good draft selection that rotates at a good pace. Staff is excellent and prices are super reasonable. Its off the beaten path and you might need a map to find it, but definitely worth the trip. Parking is in the lot across the street.

restaurant located on public golf course with breathtaking views of the sunset and pond. Moderatly priced food. Great atmosphere. Modern Bar. Catering available
Great setting overlooking the lake and park pool, a big restaurant at the town golf course. Nice interior with large bar and separate table restaurant. Attentive bartender. Good selection of tap beers were perfect after a round of golf. The only negative was that the food service was a little slow - and my grilled Reuben was slightly burnt from over-grilling. Overall recommended though.

The food is decent. Large bar crowd, mostly drinking beer and talking loud. Atmosphere is lacking. Large room divided into bar area and dinning (?) area. By a low divider.Loaded chips pretty good, nice burger. For what it is, it is a bit pricey.

We had plans to meet friends for Monday night gathering . We had made reservations and we seated right away. They offer some very nice appitizers along with a varied menu. The place is very noisy if your trying to have conversation with friends. Centrally located for our night to meet with friends.

Rock Garden is a good restaurant with plenty to choose from. They have some for everyone even kids. It can be crowded and the seating is not abundant, so get there earlier than you may want to. Their biggest issue, it has gotten better, is the speed at which they serve people. When I first went (years ago) the wait was agonizing. Again, the have gotten better but still can be slow.
