The Hops Company is Connecticutâs only destination for an authentic beer garden experience. Offering over 36 draft beers, a full bar, and great food options from Zuppardi's Pizza to Snak that are served up in a traditional European beer garden setting wit
This is in the middle of nowhere in Derby in a mostly residential neighborhood, but it's a big space. They have a big indoor area with picnic tables and an outdoor area with a waterfall and outdoor party games. The beer selection is why to go, they usually have 35-40 beers on tap from all across the world. You'll definitely find something you like. They are not a brewery, so don't here looking for beer brewed onsite. Prices are very reasonable, in the $6-8 range depending on beer.Foodwise, it's a mixed bag. They have bar snacks like nachos and pizza, and for the summer they have cold things (Italian ice for example). The biggest problem is the food is very very very expensive for what you get. For example, my wife and I had a half order of BBQ chicken nachos..it was $18. Pizza is equally high priced. It's pretty good bar food, not restaurant quality but good enough. The biggest issue is price. Overall, THC is DEFINITELY worth visiting if you're in the area, just be prepared to open the wallet a bit if you're hungry.

We are close by and have eaten here often. The food and service have usually been good. And the upgrades to the restaurant were welcome. However, lately the service has been lacking especially during the weekdays. We usually are a party of four or more and entrees have been taking far too long and when they do come out, two will come and the others follow 5-10 later. It looks like they cut the ârunnerâ during the week but not sure. Anyway I would give this place 4 stars but our recent experiences have us thinking of other places to go. With a new restaurant opening soon in the Market32 plaza, I hope they can correct the service issues. It would be a shame to lose this place which has always been an excellent local spot. Hopeful.

The look from the outside can be a bit deceiving. Went there on a football Sunday afternoon but was able to get a table right away. The wings were great and the variety is overwhelming. The service was outstanding!! I would highly recommend the Dew Drop!
This establishment has been converted from an older use and provides a great new addition to the area. The menu is really interesting and includes some different treatments from those typically found in small family and friends eateries as well hand tossed pizza and other Italian dishes. There is a full bar and an impressive selection of beers on tap. One unusual feature is a section of booths with a lovely view of the Connecticut woods over a small stream. While we were there a young deer came to drink at the water's edge.
Stopped in for lunch yesterday, had never been there but heard good things about it. Their menu is great and our lunch was terrific. Buffalo chicken salad was huge and delicious, my tuna was good and the sweet potato fries fantastic. Looking forward to going for Friday. Looking forward to Friday dinner in the near future. Very pleasant waitress!
Saw a wonderful acoustic act here Saturday night. Met friends for dinner. The menu has a little bit of everything but not too much so that you canât make up your mind. Food was very good. The chicken scarpiello and NY strips were excellent. Waitress was very friendly. We will definitely go back.

Boxcar is a new up and coming restaurant in the center of Seymour, CT. It is a part of a chain of store fronts, across from the train station, which is where the name of the rest. was created. I had mussels with fettuccine and my wife had salmon with mashed potatoes and mixed vegie sautéed. We were taken back of how well the presentation was and the flavor of both dishes. This is not bar food, it is food that is as good as it gets. If you have a chance to eat there I highly recommend it, you won't be disappointed.

I came here for dinner. I sat at the bar and was given a menu.Looking over their menu, I chose the turkey club special ($11) that came with fries. The order came about 15 minutes later. The sandwich was made big slices of Texas toast and came with a ton of sliced turkey along with bacon and cheese. There was a generous portion of fries as well. The sandwich was very good and I thought it was a very good meal.Kathy did a great job taking care of my orders. Friendly service.
