There's something for everyone at Zagame's Family Bistro, Bar and Entertainment facilities. Come in and enjoy the quality seasonal menu, friendly service and see why... Everybody Loves Zagame's!
Very impressed with the ambience and spacious feel of this venue. Lunch was very nice as we chose from the Seniors menu and the staff were well presented and cheerful. Premises were very clean and well organized. Gamblers have a large pokies venue at the rear and a fully functional TAB facility with many different screens to cover various racing and sporting events, Highly recommended for small or larger groups and business functions. Good play area available for children.Thank you for your review!

We went for lunch here and what a find. It is literally a few minutes walk from the Upwey train station across the highway. Just look for the tank! I had the Mustard encrusted chicken with a salad which was cooked to perfection. A friend had fish and chips which she said were nice. My wife had the pumpkin pesto wrap which she enjoyed. The RSL is unusual as they have their own museum which I plan to go back and visit this weekend when it is open. Parked outside the RSL is their very own tank. Inside is great with lots of miltary memorabilia on the walls. They also do dinners. The cost for three of us for lunch which include a beer and wine was a very reasonable A$60.If you found the review useful please hit helpful.

We frequently visit here for a drink and their awesome fries but recently ate here with friends for a Christmas catch up.Such a friendly place and staff are always helpful. The decor is quite plain but the atmosphere makes up for it. The beer garden is great on hot nights too.Frequently have live music which is great.

Micawber Tavern is a long time favourite destination of the Dandenong Ranges region. With lots on offer such as fully licensed bar featuring local and international beers, a full a la carte menu for lunch and dinner and also including bar meals. The Micaw
One of my most favorite spots to return too. Over the last 7 years and not one bad moment. Great food, friendly atmosphere and great music on a Saturday night. Nice place to hang out with friends, family or a nice dinner for two after a busy week and a dance. ALove the Micawber Tavern night or day, it is always special.

The Acorn Bar & Restaurant has been in operation for over 10 years now. It is a cosy English style Restaurant and Pub set at the foot of the Dandenong Ranges in The Basin. It's a friendly and atmospheric venue with a unique cottage feel. The Acorn is perf
Booked my 70th birthday ages ago for Sunday lunch for 18 people. Was told it was a BBQ various meats and salads thought this was great. Email told everyone coming they were also looking forward to their BBQ When we arrived was told the BBQ was cancelled normal menu. They said they had let me know but I don't remember receiving any message even when we confirmed the booking a couple of weeks ago. I was very disappointed and so were my guests. The staff and everyone were lovely.

Whilst this pace is nice and cozy inside and the staff were very friendly the food was very ordinary. Kids fish n chips was pretty good but the chicken satay was beyond bad. No taste or texture. Just an awful sour vinegar taste that looked more like gravy like than satay. The capaccinos were so weak they tasted like hot milk. I don't know what their other meals are like but if this is an indication I'd stay clear of this place. Maybe try the nearby cafes or restaurants.

Nice cosy pub with old style timber interior, Visited for dinner one thursday night (steak night), Ordered Scotch fillet steaks being steak night, waited a very long time, finally got meals after enqiuring about them a couple of times. Steak was very good, but not really worth the wait.

On a very cold day, snowing in fact we ended up at the Sassafras Tavern for lunch. We walked in a bit early but immediately the owner welcomed us very warmly. We ordered Pumpkin Soup, Arancini and Mushroom Risotto. The pumpkin soup was home made and one of those soups you will remember for a very long time, it was absolutely perfect. The arancini and risotto again all home made and absolutely delicious. I want to mention my young waiter, he was the son of the owner, approx. 18 years old and what a switched on person to have both waiting on tables and behind the bar, this kid has a very bright future and his parents should be extra proud of him. Overall we will be back, this restaurant is about an hour away but worth the travel, the home made food and impeccable service was fantastic, thank you, Dave & Eva

My 1st visit was for the Xmas in July, very busy with great food, service and atmosphere. We were a large group and had a great time.Last night it was dinner with my husband. The place was packed, as usual, so booking is a good idea. Same friendly staff and very casual, cheerful vibe about the place. However, the meals, particularly the very good parmas, are HUGE! It is good pub food, and there is a good selection of beers on tap. A nice cosy place for dinner on a winters evening.
