Find out what Pub restaurants to try in Redding. There's a variety of water sports in Redding, from whitewater rafting on the Sacramento River to waterskiing, swimming, fishing and sailing on Shasta Lake, one of four magnificent manmade lakes in this northeastern California town. When you're ready to dry off, there are also plenty of land-based activities, like camping or hiking in the national forests and parks, following walking trails through the 220-acre arboretum or spending time exploring two fascinating parks: Shasta State Historic Park and Turtle Bay Exploration Park. At Shasta State, you'll find the ghost town of Shasta City from the Gold Rush days, complete with restored stagecoach, barn and courthouse, with eerie reminders of where prisoners were kept and sometimes hanged. The ever-expanding 300-acre Turtle Bay Park houses the recently opened Turtle Bay Museum, with extraordinary hands-on exhibits focusing on the environment and an outstanding collection of American Indian baskets. The kids will love the park's Paul Bunyan's Forest Camp, which includes a playground, logging and ecology exhibits and the popular summer butterfly house, where the fragile winged creatures flit about and alight on welcoming visitors.

3 Shastas Bar & Grill is one of the most highly-regarded restaurants in Redding. With live entertainment on Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday, along with well-paired cocktails, our onsite restaurant is a chosen destination for those who want convenience wit
Bar and restaurant combined. Cafe hi chair seating is not senior friendly, but they will serve in the breakfast area.portions are huge and an appetizer will do for a main course. Great fries. Heavy on the grease. Pedestrian but value for money. A safe choice.
We are, by far, the friendliest bar! An Irish Pub feel, with local and international brews on tap - including Guinness, Smithwicks and Harp! We also feature wonderful wine selections and some light food as well!
stopped in after getting a referral from some locals. The owners are the entire staff and do a great job at making you feel welcome. Every Friday and Saturday there is great live Music. The beer and wine selection is good. They have a limited menu with pizzas, antipasi plates and hummus. I will be happy to come back again on my next visit to Redding.

Located in the heart of Downtown Redding on the corner of Oregon and Yuba Streets, Carnegie's has been a local institution for over 15 years. Carnegie's may be best-known for its lunch menu, featuring gourmet soups, salads, and sandwiches served in genero
Quaint little place for semi private business lunch. Salads are fresh and delicious. My favorite is chicken salad- the dressing is light and compliments the "easy on the mayo" chicken salad served on top of spring greens. The Tomato soup is one of the best in town when compared to even the most expensive dinner houses!

Stopped in for lunch at about 11:20 joining my family who had already ordered and been served. Ordered an IPA and a sandwich. As time went by the waitress never came back to check on the table. 11:45 I flag down the waitress and inquire as to the status of of my sandwich, she responds with the restaurant is full, which it was not, and then says I'll check on it. Well she never came back and at 12:15 I got up and proceeded to leave. The waitress asked if I wanted it to go, I said no, cancel the order. Really, 50 minutes to wait for food ? I don't think so. There was food on the table from others in the party I had joined and honestly the food was mediocre. No flavor in the onion rings and the chicken nuggets we're bland as well. This is the third time I have been here and I won't be back. Over rated restaurant, horrible service, but great beer.

Located in downtown Redding, CA this eatery has been planted here for several years. Lots of menu options from appetizers, salads, burgers, sandwiches and pizzas. Also many local beers on tap and in bottles. Tuesday is 'half off burger' day. Great management and staff.

A fairly new restaurant in Redding in the old "Rivers" location.
Nice view, went for brunch. Got the BLT brunch sandwich - soggy with a piece of lifeless lettuce. The bread was not toasted ... ? The potatoes were extremely greasy and flavorless, I could not eat them. Others at the table did not like them either; the guest with the crispy duck waffle wasn't happy; however the View Burger got a good review. Oh, and the donut holes were VERY good so that was nice! Three stars for the view, two for the food. Service was very good.

Stopped in there for the first time and was quite impressed. Had a very good beer selection. Tried 2 different types and enjoyed them both. Had the large pretzel with beer cheese and it tasted great. When I'm in the area again and will definitely stop in again!
