We are a Morristown's full service family restaurant and sports bar, located "off the green" in downtown Morristown, NJ.
It's a place that you go to after work to unwind, enjoy some decent discounted appetizers during Happy Hour, drink some Samuel Adams and maybe meet some ladies. I had the Pretzel Burger ($12), Angus beef, American cheese, shredded lettuce, Russian dressing which was all served on a soft pretzel bun. Oh yes, it also came with fries. I won't mention how many Sam Adams. They have a free popcorn machine that is pretty much always refilled and though it is not gourmet popcorn, it's still good.Let me talk about the decor. I hope you like frogs because there are more frogs hanging up on the walls than you will find in a Florida lily pond. After you enter, you are going to find a long corridor which leads to another door. A long central bar awaits you which is surrounded by TV screens, a main dinning hall and to the right a smaller bar with a pool table, shuffle board and dart board nearby. I hope you don not like conversation because if conversation is going on you will not hear it.The Famished Frog is right on the square in Morristown so parking options are limited. Try to find street parking, walk two blocks for free street parking or pay for garage parking about a block away.

When my daughter announced she was getting married to a wonderful man, as we helped them make planes, she said she wanted the Rox to cater the meal. Having grown up in Roxbury, she ate many meals not only with us but with her friends as they attended high schoolThe experience couldn't have been better. They took our budget and came up with a plan that covered both the omnivores and the vegetarians On the day of the wedding, the food was delivered and set up and went off without a hitch (expect we ran out of little potatoes)When the food can make or break a reception, the Rox came through and made a great day, a wonderful daySo glad you enjoyed everything!

I reveled in the Good Morning Burger (pork roll, fried egg and hamburger) with ho-hum french fries (better if they were fresh cut)$14.00. My spouse enjoyed a steer herder for $14.00 and others enjoyed the Mac and cheese burger and the brie burger all for 14 or $15. We had a very tasty spinach and artichoke dip ($10) and an order of fried pickles for $6.00. All in for four adults and a ten year old for $102.36.Service was superb at the lunch hour; prices were very affordable even in confiscatory Morristown. Food quality was above average but not gourmet. The hamburgers were offered ONLY rare, medium or well. I ordered mine rare and it came medium and my family ordered their's medium and they came well done. I have found that unless one goes to a true high end steak house, the "doneness" is whimsical at best. Same here. In sum, great service, creative menu, good food but not low cal or low fat. Be forewarned but enjoy the decadence.

This is one of NJ's little known treasures. While my wife and I are not big drinkers, we love great food...and NJ Bar and Grill always delivers! The chef is to be commended for excellent visual presentation, freshly made pasta, and organoleptically appealing food. We eat here often. Local families in the know, bring their children here. TV monitors all around the place show various sports. If you want good food, give it a shot.

Italian Restaurant & Bar
We went to the restaurant, waited 30 minutes and were served our soup, one portion. Waited, waited, waited another 45 minutes and the waitress seemed to have disappeared. Finally, we decided to leave, efound our waitress who was baffled, and she got the front end manager. Both went to the kitchen, our order was not only not ready they just did not have an answer. The manager and waitress just went about their business, not concerned or have any concern about us. We left.Hello James and thank you for your review. First I must apologize for the delay in your food. Our POS system differs with the numbers you have quoted for wait times, but still much longer then what we try to achieve on a daily basis. I must however address some aspects of this review which simply need further clarification. The waitress was very attentive and had gone to your table numerous times apologizing for the delay. We even had a few other patrons that where sitting next to you that felt bad for your treatment of our server who you brought to tears. You claim that your food was not ready when you were exiting the premise but we informed your wife it was indeed ready and if she wanted to take it to-go. She denied our offer and left without paying for anything. We truly try our best to please all our customers and in return we also expect our employees to be treated respectfully. Have a nice day.

I'm giving Arthur's one star because there is no option for none. We have eaten there many times over the years and enjoyed both food and atmosphere but not for a while. Our recent experience proves the time tested adage that you can't go home again. It's not the old Arthur's. If you want burned greasy food with a bitter taste, poor service and a noise level that drowns out all table conversation, then this is the place for you. As a neighborhood bar it might be fine but if you are looking for a pleasant dinner with friends, look elsewhere!

Several tasteless dishes. Fried plantains dried out, reheated and no seasoning. Carne Asada dried out like an old cow hide. Menu shows the dish is served with fries. Not the case here at all. Pico was 99.9% chopped onion swimming in lime juice. Yuck! Menâs room was very dirty and sorely in need of maintenance. As much as we had been looking forward to this visit - thatâs the extent of our disappointment. Strong point here was the Passion fruit Margarita- certainly not the food.

Great local pub, with food far above standard "pub fare". The Guinness was top shelf, as was the food, the locals at the bar, the bartender and the guy playing guitar. So glad I visited this place.
