If you want a unique curated bar experience that is out of this world then you must to stop by Crisanto's and have a drink while in Tulum. I went to this bar every single day that I was in Tulum. It is the most unique and creative bar I have ever been to in my life, and that is saying a lot since I live in Los Angeles. Crisanto's is unlike any other bar that I have been to because there is no menu. The bartender creates drinks based on the ingredients you like and creates a custom cocktail based on other ingredients that pair well together. For example I said I wanted a drink with mango and some spice and the bartender used fresh mango, peppers, liquor, and even made a fruity syrup concentrate from scratch right in front of me. He allowed me to sample and taste each ingredient that he used for the cocktail and did a demonstration on how to make the drink. The best drink I had was a horchata inspired cinnamon cocktail in which the bartender lit the cinnamon sticks on fire and made a syrup concentrate from scratch to go in my drink. This is not a regular bar but curated bar show, where you are entertained just by watching the bartender create your drink. They explain all the ingredients of the drink, allow you to taste, and explain how to make it. The bar is full of fresh ingredients (some of which I have never heard of) and they never use any fake gross syrupy ingredients like a lot of other bars do. Everything at Cristano's is very fresh and uniquely curated. The bar even makes it's own ginger beer from scratch. The drinks are huge and very affordable (approx $15). Most other bars in Tulum were charging $20 for a drink that was half the size and not very good. Cristano's is the place to go to get a large, affordable, good quality drink, and be entertained.My review can't express enough how amazing this bar is, you have to visit and experience just how cool this place really is. Hanging out and drinking at this bar was the highlight of my trip. I want to go back to Tulum just to visit this place.

We did not stay at the hotel but we did stop in for a fabulous lunch. Good service, great food. The manager is very pleasant and the property is beautiful. Wish we had been spending some time there.

We stopped in here just to check things out and we were pleasently surprised...Diego is a solid bartender and even better person. It's a fun atmosphere with great drinks. We can't wait to visit again.

We stopped here for our lunch that was provided by our tour. The food was good and the view incredible. The beach area was absolutely stunning as with most beach areas around here. Only complaint was every single bathroom stall was stopped up the entire time I was there and no one was doing anything to fix it. People do not seem to understand the concept of NOT flushing toilet paper even though their are clear signs so I don't think it was the establishments fault but I would be hesitant to stay here due to the lack of trying to fix it. Would come back for lunch and drinks and beach view though!

I came to this food spot because I had seen a few photos on Instagram of a little blue vintage car that was parked against the fence across the road and wanted to take one myself (#noshame). The blue car had been moved, but we were super hungry (borderline hangry) by the time we got there, so we took a seat. And I am so glad we did (thank you, Instagram)!I think I ate tacos almost every day in Tulum and eating here was no exception. We got three types of tacos - two of them, I don't remember. The third one, however, were octopus tacos and DAMN those things were delicious! If/when you go here, please...order some octopus tacos and tell me how much you love them!I also ordered the strawberry ice cream, which they mix with any alcohol you want. I forget what I got, but it got me nice and tipsy. The only thing was that the ice cream was too cold for it to melt and mix with the alcohol. So that could have been better. But it was cool to try. And again, it did the job. =P I wish I had tried the coconut ice cream, but they didn't have any left! The servers were really friendly and helpful. And the ambiance was great! The menus are old car visors and the entire place has a really cool vibe. Oh, and some locals mentioned that in the evening, they let you smoke weed (if you're into that).Such a cute place and I would definitely recommend giving it a try!

If you are looking to relax in Tulum, stay as far away from Om Tulum as possible.This hotel blasted music until 3AM on our first night and refused to offer us more that a "continental breakfast" in return (probably a $5 value). They continued to play loud music throughout the day, making it impossible to relax on their beach. Their website promises:"Romantic and relaxing""The intimate natural ambiance that you feel as a guest at OM Tulum Beach Hotel will bring forth the restful moments you've longed for...""Experience a Higher Sense of Self...""Our open air wooden deck restaurant and hookah lounge, decorated with red fabric, soft-light lanterns, and soft-music are all complimented by the warm caribbean ocean breeze""Our beach club harem beds, hammock area and individual palapas for shade is here just for your pleasure and relaxation "Everything on their site, in fact, promotes that this is a tranquil place to stay and rest. The opposite was true. Despite the insanity of the first day and night, when they were throwing a full-on party, and despite our complaints, the music continued throughout the day, making it impossible to enjoy a moment's peace. Our protests were met only with shrugs of the shoulder.We booked the hotel two days before arriving, so were already inside their posted cancellation policy. And we recognize that this policy was posted online. However, many other things were posted online (see above) which were absolutely false advertising. We are being charged for an experience that was NOT delivered to us as promised. Furthermore, there was absolutely no attempt to rectify the situation amicably by the management.For some reason, the management thinks everyone in the world wants to listen to loud house/lounge/trip hop while lying on the beach or sitting in the restaurant or, even worse, while trying to sleep. If that's what you want - go for it. If you're looking for peace and quiet, and if you're looking for reasonable management who actually listen to the needs of their guests, stay away!!

We were absolutely delighted by this experience. It was such a unique concept as we had never come across such a tour. Itâs kinda like a tour and a dinner combined. Our guide Riaz was the life of the party and gave such interesting information and insight. Really recommendable doing this.
