The London Bridge Pub in Fishermanâs Wharf in Monterey in California is sort of trying to be a bit of old London in the middle of California. It half succeeds. It is certainly very friendly with great and friendly service. Prices are not steep. But I am not sure why Californians want a bit of London except when they go to the U.K. But go there for yourself!

Fisherman's Wharf has a number restaurants and this is a good choice. It overlooks the marina with outdoor and indoor seating and has the feel of a real pub. The fish and chips have been voted the best in town for several years, with good reason.Thank you for this kind review. I am so happy to see that you enjoy your time with us and I invite you back anytime for more fish and chips from our pub!Best,John E. (Owner)

We went there mid-late evening, Two guys were performing on guitars, one of whom had been advertised as an âex-Beach Boyâ. âBeach bumâ is more likely as they were both average guitarists and not very good singers. A couple of drunk girls got up and sang with them and they were even worse,

My wife and I stopped here for lunch after nearly four hours in the Monterey Bay Aquarium. I ordered a nitro stout that was listed on the menu as 14 oz for $9. My wife ordered a pint of IPA. We also ordered calamari and beer mini-sliders to share for lunch. My stout arrived in a bell glass that was CLEARLY not 14 oz. I pointed this out to the server and he said (not an exact quote), 'Yes, sir. It's only 12 oz and the menu is wrong.' If I hadn't been tired and thirsty I would have thrown a fuss. My wife liked her IPA. The sliders were very good. The calamari basket was roughly half filled with lightly breaded & fried pepperocini peppers. Overall, not a great value for the money.

We ate lunch here after watching the July 4th parade. The family chose a range of food from the menu ranging from a toasted sandwich to a full roast beef dinner. The portions were generous and the food well cooked and nicely presented. The Plymouth platter (seafood) was great. My only criticism was that the cheese in the sandwich appeared to be processed and not real cheddar. We will go back another day, perhaps for dinner.
