Sam's Hideaway is a local family establishment that provides a unique communal atmosphere of drinking, singing and fun. Stop by Sam's Hideaway -- the place "Where Friends Meet."
Drove from Waikoloa area to meet up with a high school friend visiting from the mainland. We found this spot on TripAdvisor, and decided to meet up here. Karaoke was being done the old school way, and our first round of drinks was cheaper then one drink from anywhere else. We stayed a couple hours, and enjoyed nice poured drinks around a friendly mix of people.

Super casual and my husband loves this place. We have to come here every time we come to Kona. The drinks and food are affordable and decent. The atmosphere is very, well, kind of sports bar eclectic and sort of shabby, but not too run down. Service is great. Nice ocean view and great for watching sunsets.

Magics is dynamic, vibrant, and community oriented. Walking into the restaurant is like being transported into the ocean itself, beautiful and invigorating, with a priceless view. Weâre more than just a restaurant, our passion for our island, fresh flavor
This restaurant is located in the building where we rented a condo, so very convenient, especially after a few cocktails. Sits right on the ocean, with views of beautiful sunsets. Menu is varied with something for everyone. We especially liked the spicy lobster noodle dish and had it twice. Also enjoyed steak frite and bbq ahi tuna. Reasonable prices and good service but the food and location are the stars.

Excellent view, excellent service, excellent beer and excellent food.ALL let down by third world toilets. No ventilation. the stench was unbearable. The ceiling tiles were open to I suspect allow ventilation. Dirty benches, lacking paper towel and soap.Pity as the rest of the evening was great.

The four of us stopped here for lunch. The service was fast and friendly. I ordered a quesadilla that consisted of chicken, cheese, tomato and jalapeno peppers. It was the best quesadilla I have ever had. It was enormous, however, so you might consider sharing it with someone. The place has free Wi-Fi too. Prices were extremely reasonable.

Kailua-Kona on Hawaiiâs Big Island is the site of our brewery and first restaurant. The brewpub opened in November 1998. In true Aloha spirit, we opted to make it out of locally-sourced materials, and we even built a 2,000 square-foot outdoor lanai that l
Stopped b/c of Trip Advisor reviews. We weren't disappointed. It was wait for outdoor seating or seat yourself inside. We were concerned that we wouldn't be noticed as it was busy. Our server came promptly as did our drinks and food. As they are a brewing company, I suggest getting a sampler of beer. My favorite was the Kona Brown. Hubby got fish tacos with mac salad and I got Imu pork sandwich with salt and pepper potato chips. Both were delicious!
