Things to do in Connel
Cruising around Oban looking for eatery & saw this nice looking pizza house. Friendly staff. Quick & efficient getting drinks & orders. Provided high chair for child quickly too. Wide ranging menu, not just Italian as I thought. Steak supper, Indian, pasta dishes, various burgers etc & of course pizza. I opted for 12â thin crust with friends as you see having burger & chicken korma. I had side of chips which regret not photoing as was biggest basket Iâve seen for £2.50 in a chip shop, restaurant or hotel with a meal. Ok, they out of freezer bag but best ever tasted, just perfect. Good price on everything. No complaints at all. As we left there were quite a few younger folks coming in also so obviously a popular place. Well worth a second visit when next there.

Open Tues-Sat 4pm till close, food from 5pm Closed Sunday and Monday. Overlooking Castle Stalker in Appin Argyll
Lovely cosy pub with welcoming staff. Limited menu focussed on steaks although there was a chicken, a pork, a fish and a couple of veggie options available too. Be prepared for a limited choice if you're not keen on steaks / burgers. And there are no menus - just a blackboard and a friendly recommendation to take a photo if you want to sit down to decide what you want. We had steaks. They were delicious, cooked to perfection, just as ordered (it's rare to order rare and get rare!). They came with really good skinny chips, a little salad and a great pepper sauce. They have a lovely selection of gins and whisky and it's always nice to get a gin in a cut class tumbler. Good pub food that's value for money. Who needs anything more on holiday?

Contemporary Scottish Inn on the shores of Loch Creran in Appin, Argyll. We guarantee a warm welcome at any time of day. Food served from 12 Noon until 8.30pm.
Ate here twice last weeks whilst staying nearby Menu is usual pub fare but good quality (and quantity!) and with a good selection of drinks. Cosy. relaxed atmosphere with amazing views out across Loch Creran - not full either night we were in (mid-week in late Sept) but good atmosphere. Several locals in both nights for a drink at the bar which meant it didn't feel too 'touristy'. Worth stopping in, especially of you're staying on the area.

The Barn is a rustic restaurant with a busy wee bar in the heart of the countryside just minutes from Oban town center. Open daily from Mid March to Mid November with reduced winter hours. Pet friendly. Real ales - Highlander on tap. Good wholesome, home
On a bit of a magical mystery tour in the rain we came across this cosy little eatery. Pleasant barrista with excellent coffee and carrot cake. Just the ticket!Hope to see you back soon, glad you enjoyed your visit

One of the best things about this place is the views out over the bay through huge windows at he front. I had the steak pie which came in a delicious gravy, very rich and full of flavour. Good portion of beef although I had to sent it back to be heated up as it was served warm not hot....Overall good grub at very reasonable prices, stunning views....

Great pub just on the edges of the town centre, good choice of beers and a pretty good food menu. The thing thats stands out is the atmosphere, really friendly and welcoming.

Whilst staying nearby we were pleased to find somewhere to eat, which didnât involve a car journey and which took dogs. The people were most welcoming and service was prompt. The menu had good choices but unfortunately the langoustines werenât available. The fish and chips and cranachan were all good.
