Reviews on Pub food in Cambridge, Massachusetts, United States. Home to two of America's most prestigious universities, Cambridge exudes a certain intellectual quirkiness. A mix of historical haunts, student hang-outs, alternative art and culture venues, vintage clothing shops, bookstores and ethnic restaurants, the city is, well, really cool. Although it is located just across the Charles River from Boston, Cambridge has a distinct vibe that is noticeable immediately. Start at Harvard Square, a hub of activity and mishmash of trendy stores, outdoor cafes and colorful local characters. Pick up a walking tour map at the visitors information booth in the center of the Square. The route will take you past many important landmarks including the Mount Auburn Cemetery, Tory Row and the Longfellow National Historic Site. Harvard University offers student-led tours through the illustrious buildings and monuments of its sprawling campus. Art and architecture buffs should meander around the M.I.T campus, which includes outdoor sculptures by masters such as Picasso and 20th-century buildings designed by modern greats like Eero Saarinen and I. M. Pei. Along the way, browse through bookstores, stop to watch street performers and grab a coffee at an outdoor café to take in all this captivating city has to offer.

Located in Harvard Square, PARK is a modern neighborhood restaurant/bar designed to suit today's drinking and dining needs. A place to grab a quick after-work drink or bite, enjoy a leisurely dinner, linger over cocktails, or spend an entire night, PARK o
I wasn't very impressed. Good things first. The beer list was quite nice, with a balanced set of options. The wine list too, nothing great but quite a few wines with good price value ration. The cocktails looked interesting. But the key part of a dining experience for me is the food, and that's where this establishment fell flat. Two in our party had the hake, which both described as terribly bland. Likewise, I had the fried chicken, and while it was a LOT (basically a half chicken) neither meat nor batter had apparently ever seen any seasonings, plus it came out on the dry side of the spectrum. Best part of my dish was the mac and cheese side. Two others had the meat pie, and they agreed it was fine but nothing to rave about. The winner of the evening was the tagliatelle bolognese -- very nice. Our server was friendly enough but also disengaged. The ambiance was loud and boisterous. I'd say if you're looking for a nice drink in the Harvard Square area with something that leaves you filled, not a bad place to pick. If you're looking for something that offers more of a culinary experience or for a place to take a date, this is not it.

A short walk from MIT, we walked in on a Saturday at noon, just in time for the brunch menu served 11-4pm. There was a mixed crowd young families with kids, college students and up. Booths and long tables are available for bigger parties. We sat at the bar and ordered two different flights of their own brews. The menu was a mix of apps, burgers, sandwiches and breakfast items. The staff was super friendly and knowledgeable about the different beers. Full folders with reports on each of the beers are available on the wall next to the bar if youâre interested in reading about what your drinking. This was a great spot for a great craft beer.

We enjoyed our business dinner here very much. The waitstaff provided excellent service for such a large party. I enjoyed a savory squash soup that was delicious to begin the meal. The main course of a crusted haddock was truly outstanding. The filet was thick and flaky and perfectly cooked and the accompanying ingredients accented the gentle flavor of the fish. The apple crumble dessert with homemade ice cream was definitely work the trips to the gym Iâll need. Our hosts offered us a preselected menu so I canât answer more about the menu but our meal was memorable.

Lying beneath the bleachers in center field of historic Fenway Park, a few feet from Ted Williams Red Seat, is the newest addition to Fenway. A unique bar, where the patrons are treated to not only great food and drink, but an unprecedented baseball exper
Was in Boston on business and wanted to see the city. Went to Beacon Hill area on a recommendation and found this bar. View of Fenwayâs field was just a start. Service was as good as it gets, and meatball sliders were best ever. Beer was good too. This place is a must stop whether you are just visiting or an avid baseball fan.Thank you for your review! We're so happy to hear you enjoyed your trip to Boston and visit to Bleacher Bar! We hope to see you again soon.

Had a good dinner at Cambridge Common with a very good turkey burger with guacamole and salsa. The restaurant has a very good beer selection and a menu with lots of options. The restaurant is also attached to the Lizard Club, a basement underground music venue which had great local bands and the restaurant serves its full menu downstairs there as well.Great place to enjoy local music in a club venue with good food and drink.

Opened in 1996, Grafton Street Pub & Grill has been a beloved institution of Harvard Square for almost two decades. This neighborhood hotspot is named after the spirited cobblestone-lined shopping district in Dublin's famed Temple Bar area. Grafton Street
Reading the other reviews my family of 4 appears to have drawn an unlucky straw with our dyed red haired waitress. My goodness what a rude lady. We eat out very regularly and have never been chastised in such a way. Food perfectly ok. Not exceptional or original, and a nice spot to graze. Just avoid the grumpy red head.

I had high hopes for this place, but was quite disappointed. Service was bad. Sausage was too dry, and had nothing in common with real German wurst. Burger was average. Beer was sour.

Through the red-brick sidewalks and hidden back alleys of Harvard Square rises the latest neighborhood tradition: Russell House Tavern.
Despite the relatively good rating score for this restaurant as I read the reviews I didn't see the enthusiasm you would expect. So I expected an "ok" dining experience. We got a lot more. Harvard Square restaurant options have become increasingly expensive but seldom deliver the value one would like. This one does at reasonable prices. We stayed with small plates; shrimp cocktail & shrimp tacos, shared one of their margarita pizzas, a couple of salads & kale & barley bowl. Kept it light as the 4 of us were going to a show. Drinks menu was just the right size; great choices but tight enough that they knew what they were doing for mixed drinks, excellent selection of beers (draft & bottled) and what I look for; interesting choices of wines by the glass.Service throughout was flawless; if you're lucky you'll have the engaging & knowledgeable Chloe as your server. Nice evening, so we took advantage of outdoor seating. We'll be back.

I don't know why this place has so many high ratings. Their menu is very limited and the burger I had was below average. I would not recommend this place or go back.
