I think they have new management, because we have been here several times before and the food is definitely not as good and the service is poor. It took so long to get our appetizers and our meals.

Arkham is a bar with a weird set-up with the bar in a little room so the bartender can't see what's going on in the rest of the place which is mostly just noise, air hockey, and a sometimes "sketchy-looking" (including myself) crowd at the front door which is really more like a back door.

Cash only bar. Rude bartenders. Tiny bathrooms. Limited seating available at all times. Difficult to get to the bar to place your drink order and bartenders refuse to take your drink orders at the tables--despite them standing at your table and offering to tell you about what they have on tap. In general, the entire business is a mystery to me.... why is it always packed over the bars that accept credit/debit cards and have friendlier staff? I guess I'm just not in the know with the locals.
The Fairway Tavern boasts beautiful views of the golf course for casual dining. Enjoy appetizers, entrees or desserts inside or outside on our deck or patio. Public Welcome. Daily Lunch and Dinner Specials. Breakfast Saturdays and Sundays. Family Friendly
I've lived in Brattleboro my whole life and never knew the Fairway Tavern was public dinning. They have a great deck and patio for drinks with friends on sunny afternoons. I might add, this is something Brattleboro doesn't have enough of, out door dinning, which makes it worth the two minute drive out of downtown. They have cool weekly specials between 4-7pm M-F. And, the menu and drinks are really reasonably priced. No need to be intimated by the fact that it is on the grounds of the Brattleboro Country Club. Definitely chill.

Small local Pub/Restaurant in downtown Brattleboro, been in business for over 30 years with the same owners Kip and Jill. A Huge favorite amoungst the locals. Great pub food, a real secret to tourist. As we say, "No strangers here, just the friends you ha
Sure wished I had known this was cash only upfront. Why is anything cash only in the 21st? So I missed out on what probably would have been a great Reuben because they didn't have an ATM. The ambiance here is cool and the barkeep was nice. The locals were friendly too. The street parking is tight.

Come check out Hazel! Brattleboro's best pizza and barbecue joint featuring in-house-smoked barbecue plates and sandwiches, stellar wings and ribs, an assortment of original and delicious New york style pizzas, and a full cocktail menu with local brews an
We arrived at 5 PM on a Saturday and were immediately seated. By 5:30 it appeared that people were already waiting for tables. Service was very prompt and friendly. The menu is known for their beer and cocktails, plus pizza although there are certainly other food choices as well. Our food arrived in a reasonable amount of time. Portions are reasonable in size and the food itself was quite tasty. We enjoy coming here and definitely would come again. As for the accessibility, there are two large steps leading up to the front door. Once inside, there are two steps down into the dining area on the right. The dining area and bar which are on the left side are level to the entrance area. The restaurant is located directly across the street from the Transportation Center parking structure.
