are great food (the eggplant parm. is out of this world) and large portions.Reasonable prices. Clean suuroundings. Only one misus- no public bathrooms. There is a WaWa convience store two doors away. Don't let the Middletown address fool you (it is in Biddles Corner near Port Penn, about 4 miles west of Augustine Beach at the intersection of highway 13 and highway 896.) From Middletown it is about 7 miles NW.

They have fast and friendly service. The pizza was fresh and tasty, the Parmesan bread bites and lava cakes are amazing. Pretty much like every other pizza place but you can't go wrong with that! The online order did take a little to process.

Like Caruso's, which is run by the same family, this place has great pizza. There is also a number of Italian dishes and desserts,.all of which are very good. They opened very recently so the service was a little shaky but they are trying hard to get the staff well trained.

Obviously a popular place but as I watch the servers run around and read the reviews it becomes apparent that Grotto has few standards. Consistency is relative. Our server was nice but displayed little enthusiasm for her job. She failed to remove empty plates and clear items from the table several times but couldn't wait for us to leave so she could clean up. Her service was very blah, but I saw other servers who really hustled and had wonderful personalities. My wife liked that she could order gluten free pizza. I liked that the pasta was home made. While the pasta was good the "award winning" clam sauce was too peppery for my liking. The server could not tell me about their beer selection so I had to get up and walk to the bar to check out the taps. Overall it was a good experience but I did not find anything praise worthy, not the service nor the food. It was just okay. Somehow I find that places like this survive with little standards because their customer base hold few expectations.

Stop in recently and decided to try there pizza. I'm the type of person who likes a thin crust pie. This was not thin crust, the dough had a decent taste and the sauce was a little spicy but den't care for the cheese. I have only been here once and never tried any of there other food.

We eat at Pats quite often. They have such a great selection of so many different types of foods that suit everyone in my family. The dining room is clean and decorated beautifully. We had a delicious dinner and the service was quite good. Will continue to go to Pats!

We visited with our son & his family. The little single pizzas were ideal for the kids, pone couple shared a giant, healthy salad & the other a good medium pizza. Good portions!
