We came here with friends a month or so ago. I realised when we arrived I booked for the wrong night but they still squeezed all six of us in. The food was great, really yummy and fast service. The interiors are also really cool. Would definitely recommend this place.

Beautiful food and situated in the main street of Ivanhoe suburb of Melbourne. Pizzas were light and the Di Salmon couldn't go past it was beautiful. Very attentive Waiters & welcoming into their Restaurant. A couple of 'country bumpkins' like us walked in and just hit the big smoke of Melbourne, settled into our accommodation in Ivanhoe then thought where shall we eat. At first I was brought out a meal which was totally not what I had asked for as there was a confusion in the kitchen but in the end my Di Salmon arrived with apologies. The patron who sat next to us and we conversed with said the same happened to him couple times so just be aware when your meal arrives. All good and very enjoyable which we shall return when in the area again. Parking is off street and quite a busy thorough fare so be careful as the traffic doesn't altogether go 30kms. But of course being in the city you half expect this. Food excellent!

Function was a pre-booked club anniversary dinner for 150 attendees. Staff was friendly and attentive. Food superb. Although the usual choice of two main courses for these events, the main courses were either a beautitully cooked and presented fillet of snapper or a quality rump steak. Drinks had to be bought at tghe bar which is some distance from the function area.

Di Palmas restaurant seems to have been around for many years and still maintains a high standard of traditional Italian fare along with a great variety of excellent pizzas.We arrived at 6.30pm on a Sunday night and the place was buzzing. A number of different dining areas deliver a range of dining atmospheres all offering the sounds and aromas of a great Italian restaurant.The pasta is excellent and quite varied, and the pizzas are mouth-wateringly good.If we had one criticism, it was the extreme swiftness of the delivery of the dishes. We hardly had time to order and the meals were arriving.Prices are certainly reasonable for this quality. Will visit again.

Service was efficient and prompt. The pizzas took about 10 minutes to come out, on quite a busy night (Saturday night). They were really delicious pizzas and well-priced (between $18-$22). The menu has a huge range of pizzas to choose from. There could have been more toppings on some of the pizzas, and the sauce could have been spread out more to the sides, but really they were very nice pizzas. The atmosphere in the courtyard was cosy and fairly quiet. Gluten free bases were great - I think it cost $3-4 extra for this option, which is normal. I absolutely love pizza, and have tried a good many gluten free bases, and would definitely recommend Pizzami. I would advise you book in advance if you want to sit in.

This is an unpretentious but impressive place. It deserves its current score of four. It’s not an impressive space. It’s a little cramped to be honest. But, physical limitations are cancelled out by the food which is very impressive indeed. Our antipasto starter was lovely. The prosciutto was as good as I’ve ever had and equal to it better than that that I’ve tried several times in its country of origin. It was strikingly good. The two pastas we had were also extremely good. The pizzas others had looked lovely too. They were eagerly devoured by those who had them.This place was well patronised and is a local favourite. On what we saw here tonight, we can understand why. Have not a doubt we’ll return.

Stopped here for a family dinner on a weeknight, pizzas are very large and tasty. Nice thin base pizza with good amount of toppings. Restaurant is very clean and service was very good. Will br back..

il Borgo is located in a street with many Italian restaurants and pizza outlets but... if you want a great meal with authentic Italian wines and service then this place is excellent. The couple who own and operate this restaurant are delightful and the food is really fabulous. I can’t wait to back and bring more friends and have another great evening. This restaurant located in the Old Ivanhoe Fire Brigade Station, is a great place to visit, from the moment you walk in the door you get a good feeling, the décor is good and the ambience excellent. The restaurant comprises 3 rooms, so you don't get the feeling of being in a large open area. the staff are very friendly and helpful and provide a good standard of service. The choice of food is great, going from the very good Pizza selection to the share dishes and main courses. I recommend the Spring Lamb dish which was terrific, being a combination of Lamb cutlets just cooked to perfection, nice and pink, plus a serving of slow cooked lamb shoulder. Also very good was the whole baked flounder. The wine list is very good and reasonably priced. Also what I find important was the toilets were very clean. I will be putting this restaurant on my must go to again list.
