This place opened near Stony Brook University in Stony Brook NY. They say there a calzone company, but they are far from it. I ordered a calzone with sausage when I called it in. I was told it would be 30 minutes for pick up. I went there at 25 minutes and waited an additional 25 minutes I have had many calzones over my many years and 2 of us could not eat the whole calzone. NOT here, their calzone was the size of 1/2 small apple pie you get in the grocery store. If you want a real calzone don't go here. Go to a Italian Rest. and get it there. It's good for a bite to eat for a college student, but that's it.

Stopped in for a couple of slices because of the good review I gave last time. Was fairly disappointed this time around. The new, younger, pizza guy just is not in the same league as the older dude who threw pie for us last time. This pie was too oily and the crust was limp. You can get any one of what appears to be 10+ specialty pies, or by the slice, some of the flavors are absolutely exotic, if that's your thing. My Napolitan slices were sad.Maybe next time I'll look in the window first to see who's throwing the pie before going in.

I've eaten lunch here a couple of times, and have had their lunchboxes during university functions numerous times. I'm always disappointed when we get lunch from somewhere else! A classic deli, with delicious roast-beef sandwiches. Nothing fancy, just excellent quality. Highly recommended--esp. for Stony Brook departments looking for catering!

They have a extensive lunch menu featuring appetizers, pizza, salads, Pannini, heroes, and entrees. The breaded chicken cutlet hero was good and they were very accommodating substituting a different vinaigrette then what was on the menu. The mixed green salad with beets and goat cheese was very fresh and tasty. The wait staff is very professional and efficient.

Ok for a quick meal but not great. Salads are average and Italian dishes seem like they are microwaved jar sauce. Restaurant can be noisy with kids so recommend sitting in the back dining area for quieter dining.

Setauket Pastaria is about delicious Italian food served in abundant portions. Owner Vincent Milano created this restaurant as a place to celebrate family and festive occasions in a warm and beautiful setting with attentive service that makes you feel at
The outside of the restaurant is adorable, and so is the inside. It is inviting and warm. Our friend loved her Italian wedding soup, and the food was very good, however they refused to put a few pieces of salmon on top of our salad for a decent price. They wanted to charge us for a whole salmon meal. Although chicken was four dollars, salmon would have cost $21. Very disappointing. They should have been more flexible. We have never been to a restaurant where they didnât put a few pieces of salmon on a salad for a few extra dollars.
My friends and I had a casual midweek get together. None of us felt like going out to dinner, so they suggested that we get take-out from Via. I took a look at the menu, which contained so many tasty choices, and ordered chicken francaise. My friends warned me that the servings were large (not that was a problem... so happy to have leftovers!). My meal was perfectly prepared, with the right amount of egg wash and lemon. The side of pasta was cooked to perfection, and I split a salad with my friends. The bread that came along with my dinner was soft on the inside and crusty on the outside. Thoroughly enjoyed my meal, and looking forward to not only the leftovers, but future visits to this fantastic restaurant!

Pie is on main street in the village of Port Jefferson. A family oriented establishment offers great pizza options with diverse toppings and three sizes. There is more than pizza offered heavy on the Italian influence. Always a good nightly special, all at a decent price. Service always quick and attentive. Limited beer selection especially tap. Desserts are heavy, very sweet and seem child oriented.
