Today was incredible !!! What a wonderful healing experience i had with the wolves. My husband & i went to see them in Rimrock. Words can’t express the feeling I had with them. I didn’t want to leave. It was such a beautiful experience. We learned one of the wolves we were with today Kira, i think it was about 3 wks ago, she broke her leg, & needed surgery. She’s still in the healing process & has needed a lot of special care which seems to have put a lot more expense out for the care takers Healing Wolf & her husband. So i said to my husband, I was happy we went today. Just so you know you do have to call & make a reservation first. It was a $40 donation per person for us to see the wolves, but what we got back from being with them is PRICELESS. I can vouch for that today. It’s something i’m going to remember forever. Honestly I can say If you want to experience something truly magnificent you have to go to the Medicine Wheel Lodge in Rimrock AZ & spend some time with these magnificent healing wolves. You won’t be sorry. I promise you.

This one-time theater and brothel has been reincarnated as a museum.
Daytime tour is pretty cool, a lot of neat historical artifacts that bring to life some of the westerns we watched as kids. The ghost tour is where its at though, from the paranormal experiences to the knowledgeable, friendly and fun ghost host Jade it is an experience anyone visiting tombstobe should have.

This chapel, located among dramatic rock formations, offers spectacular views, especially at sunset.
Absolutely loved our visit; awe inspiring views and peaceful serenity. The complimentary golf cart ride (tips appreciated) is a wonderful bonus for those with mobility issues or seniors although the privilege seemed to be available to everyone. We visited around 11 am on a Monday and had no trouble finding parking. Nice gift shop with lots of religious options but also beautiful note cards and postcards. Good idea to check out the postcards for ideas/information. Without them I would have missed the eagles overlooking the chapel. The beautiful home in the foreground is for sale for a mere $28 MILLION!

Built by a father to realize his daughter's dream, this three-story castle, completed in 1945, is made of stone, adobe, automobile parts and petroglyphs and is held together by a cement mixture including goat's milk. Take a tour - usually led by the daughter, who still lives there - of this odd, yet imaginative dwelling.
This was easily my favorite thing I've seen in the city of Phoenix. The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable about the history of the castle. It's an absolutely beautiful and unique structure of art. The story behind it is beautiful and you can tell how much love was put into the place.

Horseback Rides in the Forest, Trail Rides, Adventure Rides. Horseback Riding Lessons every day on site. Rides ARE 1.5 HOURS FOR $75. Riders are taken up the mountain on a very beautiful trail with through the woods and to the top of the mountain where there are some very very old growth trees. Great place for pictures as you can see the rim from there and all the mountain tops. We often see deer and some elk and many squirrels and birds.
Joe our guide was great. The ride was scenic and absolutely beautiful. The horses were selected based on his conversations with the riders and he did a great job. We didn't get to see any elk but he tried to call them out. We did get to get wild horses and they were amazing to see. The trail was beautiful and not just a flat walk around. We got to the the rim like no others get to see it! Highly recommend. Wish we lived closer.

Chloride is Arizona's oldest continually inhabited mining town. About 350 people live here today. While it is not a ghost town, it can feel like it because it is so super quiet. This is definitely NOT Oatman, and we like it that way! Drive around town and look at the old houses, some of them with elaborate rusty metal yard art. The Jim Fritz Museum (owned and managed by the Chloride Historical Society), just east of the park) is open every Saturday from about 11 am to 12 pm or 1 pm. Gunfight reenactments by the High Desert Drifters on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of the month at High Noon. Great photo opportunities. There is a store (Mineshaft Market), a US Post Office, some tiny shops, and two restaurants as well as a park with covered area and playground. Karaoke on Saturday afternoons at Yesterdays Restaurant. The cemetery outside of town is one of the state's oldest. Enjoy the quiet atmosphere, the wildlife wandering through town, and the clean air. Interested?
Enjoy the old town and the great home town vibe with the locals! Stayed at Sheps Miners Inn - highly recommend it! And Yesterdays cafe was fantastic food and service at good prices. (note everything in this town closes at 5pm 7days a week)

What is The Thing? Come and see for yourself. Our new museum is now open and better than ever! Look around the spacious gift shop and purchase a few gifts, a couple of pieces of Indian Handmade or jewelry, pottery, year round fireworks or one of the many other items available at this location. Grab an Ultimate Burger or a cold DQ BLIZZARD at the Dairy Queen located right next door. This location also offers self-serve Shell fuel with 24 hr. pay at the pump service. Are you in the need of Diesel? Get it here!
A favorite place to stop on our way to Yuma. Beautiful gift shop and our favorite - DQ! We always stop there on our way through for our favorite DQ treat. On our way back home 2 weeks ago, we accidentally threw away a coffee cup holder that our extra key fob had fell into without us knowing it. When we got to Las Cruces, 230 miles away, we realized the key fob was missing. We backtracked and realized it may have fallen into the coffee cup holder and was thrown away at the Thing. We called and they said they were closed but would check first thing in the morning. They called us first thing Sunday morning and they had found it!! They were so nice and were willing to send it to us right away. We received it last week and are ever thankful for the kindness they showed us. Plus saving us nearly $500 for a new key fob! God Bless them and it's nice to know there are good people in this world!

Never open, must be rented by appointment only. $300 per day. or $200 for up to 4 hours. rest of 100 characters.
I love this place! We try to stop by every year, and it is a cool place to take friends. As we walked through today, I thought this would of made a really cool Ruins bar. If you’ve been to the Ruins bars in Budapest, I’m sure you’ll agree. The back dim is mostly collapsed, so I would stay out of it. It will really be a shame when the domes are gone. Fun& weird as Hell, what more could you ask for!

We've been to Jerome, AZ numerous times but have never driven out of town on FR318. What a beautiful 31 mile dirt road scenic drive to Perkinsville, AZ. Now with that said after crossing the single lane Perkinsville Bridge the remaining 6 miles of dirt road up to the 73 was pretty rough but drive-able but then paved road into Williams.
