No Chips and salsa. Some kind of bread/tortilla? Authentic Mexican food not what we expected. Limited menu but had items we didn't recognize. We stuck with enchiladas.

A quick stop on the service road of Interstate 45. This Taco Cabana wascleaner than some others that I have visited. The soft tacos were a hit. The frozen lime margaritas were surprisingly tasty. The friendly counter service guy asked if I wanted the glass rim coated with sugar or salt. Nice touch even though it is served in a plastic cup. My hubby really liked the Key line pie. I would stop again.

I am sorry that I do not feel that Taco Bell is only average. It is hard for me to rate a chain of this nature better than average. Also the Birds that frequent the wires are somewhat of a distraction.
I had pork chops, homemade macaroni and cheese and fried okra.dont let the looks of the place deceive you the food is wonderful

My fiance and I decided to try out this new place. We eat out very often. There was only one car there, so I was kind of skeptical about eating there. I ordered shrimp cocktail and he ordered fajitas. The waitress was very helpful and did her job. I took one bite of the shrimp cocktail and it didn't taste like any other I have ever had. I eat at many restaurants and always order shrimp cocktail, but have never had any tasted this way. I stopped eating it. When the waitress came by she asked how was everything. My fiance said I didn't like the cocktail. She said oh you don't I said no not really but that's ok I will make myself eat it. She said no I can bring you something else. I said are you sure. She said yes I would't want to eat something I don't like. Let me take it and bring you a menu so you can pick something else. I ordered something else. She bought us the ticket and they charged us for all the food. We asked her why and she said we ordered it and it was the owners decision to charge us for it. We tried speaking with the manager/owner and he said there was nothing wrong with the food and people eat it all the time. I asked why were we offered something else and that food thrown away if we had to pay for it. He said he was making us pay for it or the waitress will have to. He kept interupting us while we were trying to talk. He was very rude and does not know how to run a business. He didn't want to hear anything we had to say. We even tipped the waitress because she did a good job. She can't help how he is. I wouldn't suggest this place to anyone. If this is how they are going to treat their customer's they will not last long. He told me he has owned his company for 8 years. Also, they should consider turning down their music. It is too loud.

Good Spicy salsa. We all 4 enjoyed our food and good service. Don't think you could get anything bad here. They were full but service was fast

Stopped by while touring the Bluebonnet Trail.Service was excellent; appreciate the waitress taking time to sweep under my table before seating me.$9.72 for three crispy tacos (ground beef). Food quality was okay; good quality beef; taste was okay - nothing that grabbed your attention. Asked that certain toppings be withheld from my tacos - that did not happen.Very casual (possibly a converted Dairy Queen building?). Fixtures are very dated.

The service at El Mexicano Grill was excellent. The food was good with some items on the menu you do not see everywhere. The Tres Leche cake was the best I have ever had. Well done!

Food pretty good, but service depends on who your server is. Not a chain. Family owned and run. Ask for the hotter salsa. Good flavor and HOT. Isn't served unless you ask for it.
