Amaizing Outdoor Dining area, Gourmet Authentic Mexican cuisine served in a beautiful ambiance with a full Mezcal bar. Over 20 years!! of Mexican Tradition in Pennsylvania
We were seated in the inside dining room right away when we arrived, but nobody approached our table for at least 15 minutes, and then it was to bring only water. After another wait, we got chips and salsa and gave our order for one enchiladas camaron and one almond chicken. After about 40 minutes, we got our food. To be fair, it was very good, but by that time we had waited about an hour. On our way out, the hostess apologized for the long wait. We do not plan to return.Dera DonH.I deeply apologize for the lack of service you experienced that night at my restaurant. Found a metal wire from scrubby in my burrito. Last time I found plastic. Not going to go back they need to be more careful when prepping food. Food would have been good.

This is a small eatery( a former subway shop) but exceedingly friendly and attentive staff. Food comes out of the kitchen quickly, hot and always tasty. Prices are most reasonable and there is great variety to the menu. Even decent churros for dessert.

Excellent food and friendly atmosphere at this little Mexican restaurant in the heart of Bryn Mawr. The quantity and quality of food is great and the prices are reasonable. Lots of families with kids and college kids make for a happy atmosphere. Very authentic and staff is most attentive.

Located in the heart of Suburban Square Ardmore Besitos is a lovely restaurant blending in house seating with Al Fresco dining thru large portals. Our server this evening was informative, friendly with our orders delivered promptly. Now for the important part, the food. The Margarita was the worst I have ever had, really. Any grocery store mix is far superior; a total disappointment. Next was the Guacamole not done tableside, served in a traditional vessel. It was meager and tasteless. All dinners were quite good and enjoyable from the Polo Skillet to traditional Mexican selections. The free chips were fresh and tasty however and salsa was thin and boringly tasteless. Knowing what we now know on another visit we would avoid all the disappointing items. Because of the location, the ambience and our enjoyment of Mexican food we will visit again. The fail on basic Mexican foods have taken the rating from Very Good to Average, actually a bit below average.

The Greek restaurant Lourdas used to be my favorite eating venue near the Bryn Mawr Railroad station. It has now gotten serious competition in the form of Sontuosa (meaning sumptuous), a newish restaurant near the Bryn Mawr Post Office, a stone throw away from Lourdas.I recently chose Sontuosa for a Friday night dinner with a friend and despite the fact that I was not feeling tops I soon felt better because the delicious smells rising from the plates of diners nearby made me forget my own predicament. Ernesto and his wife are the souls of this establishment and make one feel welcome before one even takes a look at the menu. After consulting with Ernesto I chose AUBERGINE from the dinner menu which consisted of roasted eggplant layered with ground lamb, roasted tomatoes, cinnamon and cream. I felt revived after the first bite. Although the menu suggested that this dish was prepared in the traditional Lebanese style, I could also detect small whiffs of Italian, French and Mexican flavors. This was a successful meal and I intend to return soon. But Lourdas does not need to worry, just share my enthusiasm.Sontuosa serves lunch and dinner,Tuesday through Saturday and Brunch on Sundays. It is a BYOB restaurant and also makes DorDashDeliveries.Buen Provécho!

My husband picked me up at the Bryn Mawr station and we decided to have a light dinner before going home. Xolo served one of the worst restaurant meals I have eaten this year. I ordered Camerones Mex which was priced at approximately $23.00. The shrimps were tough; the sauce out of a can (or so it tasted), with a slightly bad odor; there was a pre-formed boring mold of rice, hospital style; and green beans so overcooked - or from a can - that if you mashed them with a fork they would become baby food. I love Mexican food, but this was not even a poor imitation. So bad, I cannot try Xolo again. My meals at Xolo before today have been adequate to good.We sincerely apologize if your visit this time around did not meet the same level as your previous visits. We appreciate your bringing this to our attention, as we'll certainly be following up with our staff about your meal. If there's anything else you think we should know about your visit, please feel free to reach out and send us a message. We'd be glad for the opportunity to continue this conversation.
