Things to do in Athens
I stopped after work and ordered the Monday Special, Chicken Fajitas. They came out hot and fresh. There was more than enough for two people but I was alone so I took home the rest for another meal. The staff is friendly and the Salsa is outstanding. I asked for some Salsa for home and was give some in a cup. I enjoyed the leftovers the next day as much as the first meal. Excellent and inexpensive food!

Met the kids for lunch after Sunday worship. Some had to travel so it was easy to get to- right off highway 72 and Jefferson St. Lunch was ordered and served right within minutes brief wait for fast foods. Reasonable on the wallet with our bunch of 7 for lunch, Kid friendly and adult satisfying! Thanks Taco Bell! Clean dining and reasonable priced! Food was tasty!
I honestly eat here all the time. It's one of two of my favorite Mexican restaurants in town. Service here is quick and food is tasty!I have found their best items are gorditas, huevos rancheros, and carne asada. Their tortas and tacos are really good but honestly Sabor Latino has them beat slightly here.GREAT salsa especially if you like SPICY! GREAT place!
This place is billed as "authentic Mexican" food and the menu reflects this claim with soft tacos on corn tortillas, fajitas, pork tamales and much more. Most are individual offerings, the only platter I noticed was the fajitas. I got the steak fajitas, she three tacos with "BBQ" beef filling (numerous meat fillings are available). My fajitas were just fair with the meat and peppers overcooked and containing quite a bit of fat. The rice, beans and corn tortillas were very good. Hers were what tacos should be, open faced with plenty of cilantro. Fresh lime slices were provided. The red sauce is very hot, be careful to use sparingly as the burn comes well after you've swallowed. Located across from Express Lube, West of the Big Lots strip mall. We both ate for $14.00 sharing a drink.
My family and I visited Luciaâs in downtown Athens for my birthday dinner on an early Friday evening. We arrived around 4:30 and were happy to see that the lunch menu was available until 5:00. The prices were extremely reasonable and the restaurant was beautiful. The service and food were excellent. I ordered the El Veloz entree (cheese enchilada, taco, and beans) while my son ordered the cheese enchilada, rice, and beans. My husband ate the fajitas and we all snacked on the chips, salsa, and cheese dip. Downtown Athens is fortunate to have such a wonderful Mexican restaurant. We will definitely go back the next time that we are in town.
What to do and see in Athens, United States: The Best Places and Tips
Very good Mexican food but not the best I've eaten. It's more off-the-truck standard fare. Good value and very nice, clean restaurant. Located 1/2 mile east off I-65 it's a nice place to get out, eat and rest from traveling.

I have been here a few times, the name turned me off but once I went inside I was quite surprised. The Chili Verde with Pork was excellent, lots of food and really really good.. I wasn't impressed with the Steak Burrito, meat was ok but a bit dry... Staff is super nice. Overall good place that I'll visit again in the future...

Large restaurant with really large menu and when food came REALLY large portions- actually too much food. Service was very friendly and efficient but overall restaurant was just average Mexican. We donât live in Athens but if we did we would probably go somewhere else for Mexican.
