Enjoy incredible Italian gastronomy and wonderful wines at Pimento. Dine in a cosy Italian style atmosphere accented by wood floors and a brick grotto ceiling. The traditional Italian menu offers a variety of fresh homemade pastas, risottos, fresh seafood
Cristian was our waiter and provide us with warm and pleasant set. The food was wonderful. The only request I have is to NOT microwave the bread as they did and to serve real butter in lieu of the artificial butter made with rapeseed oil. Dear Thomas,We´re glad that you enjoyed the food and the service of Pimento. Thanks for sharing your comments, your opinion it´s very important for us. Forward to welcome you soon.Best regards,Ricardo Menendez,General Manager.

Located on Calle 33, in the Barrio Escalante, right next to the railway crossing, the place is quite large with an eclectic but tasteful decor. The menu and theme is definitely mediterranean , and the restaurant was rocking when we arrived (luckily we had a reservation!), and even busier when we left at 10 pm. The choices offered are many and various, with a wide selection of Tapas, Carpaccios, Soups, Salads, Pastas, a good seafood section, beef and chicken, and of course, desserts. Comprehensive wine and spirits list, also a great choice of beers, soft drinks and hot beverages. I opted for the "Pescado Nuevo Mundo, and was presented with a very generous portion of perfectly prepared fish fillet, topped with a delicious white wine and cream sauce, and complimented with mashed (purée) potatoes and a very nicely undercooked and seasoned green leaf vegetable similar to chard. The service was highly professional, prompt and courteous. That's all I had (and needed), just over CRC 10,000, including tax and tip. Highly recommended!

In Arab cuisine "Sash" is the oven where the bread that traditionally accompanies Eastern dishes are prepared. Condiments, colors, aromas and special ingredients make our Lebanese food tickle your senses. We invite you to taste the legacy that generations
The restaurant is beautifully & sumptuously decorated. The food is delicious, portions enormous & prices reasonable. Definitely worth a visit - and consider sharing a few dishes rather than everyone ordering their own. You won’t go hungry! The hummus was outrageously good as was the lamb.

The Mediterranean is our reason of being, with a wider concept that doesn't only include the food but also the health, the arts, the conversations and the friendships that are born in our table. Our influences come from the culinary and culturally richnes
The food is very good, the waitress is excellent. We don’t speak Spanish & she didn’t speak English but that didn’t matter. We had the Steak & Lamb cutlets, both cooked perfectly & both delicious. Also, unlike others, the owner didn’t come anywhere near us. That aside, giving the waitress a tip & she returning a hug, just topped off our night.

Superb quality and service. We had lunch and everything single item was fresh and obviously prepared from scratch. The menue offers a great international selection of salads, soups, sandwiches and main courses from different countries. Under no circumstances omit the dessert because they are fabulous. It is one of my favorite places in Costa Rica.

From the decor to the chef/owner signing for your special occasion, you will really enjoy this landmark. The food is from the old country. Everything at this place is fantastic! Don't miss out on the desserts. All homemade, my favorite is the creme brulee with blueberries. Eat family style, off the menu or make a request & Tony will serve it up. Don't miss this wonderful experience.

Went for a business lunch. Greast surprise. All dishes ordered were made to perfection with large portions and good service. The place is set in an old San José house and it is welcoming. It has private parking on the side. Came here because 2 people of our group have gluten issues. There were plenty of choices for them. We all enjoyed. We will be back.

An enchanting restaurant in the very hearth of San Jose, with authentic Italian cuisine and spotless service. Everything is hand made. Try the Festa della Pasta, for a fix price you can try 5 different handmade pastas. Enjoy our brick oven long fermentati
Service was very spotty. Waiter uninspired and not at all helpful to the two gluten free diners at our table. The ravioli and the pizza I shared with my friend we’re ok (ravioli lacked flavor) but the greatest disappointment was that both dishes were barely warm. The pizza had sat for so long that it was soggy. Prices seem high for the quality, presentation and service.

Fantastic Lebanese/Mediterranean food - we had a feast here with a large group, enjoying a wide variety of both meat- and plant-based delicacies. Elegant dining area is beautifully lit and decorated, and service was efficient and friendly. One of the best meals I’ve had over the years in San Jose - highly recommended!!p.s. be sure to try the cardamom coffee!
