Reviews on Mediterranean food in St. John's, Antigua, Caribbean. In St. John's, the capital city of Antigua, farmers markets, candy- colored architecture and the ruins of sugar plantations vie for attention with a kaleidoscope of coral reefs and sailing adventures. Salute the white baroque towers of St. John's Cathedral that dominate the skyline before joining the flocks of cruise passengers on a Heritage Quay shopping excursion. To experience the island's early cultures, visit the Museum of Antigua and Barbuda, housed in a 1750s colonial courthouse.

Once the best swarm on the island, is now over-priced and just average. I was really disappointed how the quality and quantity have gone down. Too many good swarms on Antigua to stop by Casanova any more...

Our Italian Restaurant "Sottovento Beach Club" is an enchanting restaurant facing the ocean. The alfresco restaurant is beachfront and just a few steps away from the sea. The menu is an Italian medley with Mediterranean influences, simple, but well create
Food was amazing, beautiful view during dinner. Service exceptional, average pricing, good selection.
We came here for dinner, following the recommendation from David (Dutchman lodge)... glad we got to this place!Location is obviously not the reason to go there (no scenic view), but food was really great!I would not have expected to actually eat a proper Lebanese cuisine in Antigua... what a nice surprise!Staff was very friendly and many locals seem to be visiting this place.... this is not a tourist trap at all - I highly recommend this place - pricing is really on point / quite reasonable for the quality you get in the plate! We are happy to read your review ,thank you so much appreciate and we are pleased to serve you anytime

The Syrian man who owns & operates this small Shawarma shop, has a huge heart & a great personality! He also opened his shop years ago selling shawarma at $10 EC a piece, and despite all the other shops that have opened, he has kept his price the same all these years! Great guy with great food!Traditionally shawarma is made by forming a large mass of meat (traditionally chicken) on an upright rotisserie.... However, because this chef doesn't want people to get sick, he keep his chicken refrigerated and pulls it out to cook it up real quick in front of you! I love his consideration! Most of the other shops in Antigua keep the meat out all day, then refrigerate it over night, and throw it back on the rotisserie the next day, quite risky when you think of bacteria!
This is the best Lebanese restaurant in Antigua. The staff are really fantastic. nothing is too much trouble for them. The food portions are very generous and very tasty. The salads are very fresh and the houmous is excellent. Well worth a visit.

Visited with friends during our last (annual) trip to Antigua at their recommendation. A slightly odd access through the hotel but an incredible location on a promontory with sheer cliffs down to the sea. A lovely bar and fabulous restaurant with 270 degree views over the sea serving a great lunchtime menu - which took about two and a half hours to get through whilst watching all the passing boats!Beautiful food and after a few more drinks, a lounge in the small infinity pool watching the sun go down. Magical!

La Bussola have relocated to the site of the old Tides Restaurant on the beachfront at Dutchman's Bay. You will not be disappointed by this versatile venue offering a welcoming dining room with plenty of character and charm, two breezy, open-plan verandah
It has been a couple of years since I visited here but we had a relaxed business meeting with colleagues and chose to return here. There is plenty of parking and the restaurant is very nicely laid out and decorated. The welcome of the staff was friendly and we were shown to a nice table. Warm bread with garlic butter was delivered quickly to the table and 4 of us ordered pizzas and the other a ribeye steak. The pizzas were tremendous - we had Giotti (x2) , Cassero and Pugilli pizzas which were thin based with generous toppings. Just excellent. My colleague said the ribeye was also really good.Overall an excellent sensibly priced dining experience.

Great quality Greek cuisine in a relaxed atmosphere with a view of the Marina and the best hospitable staff to cater to your needs
The right mix of all the elements in this wonderful, well run family restaurant. Authentic Greek food, good service, great bar in an idyllic setting with brilliant views and cool trade winds. Mama Greek is the finest chef on island. Each dish is made with a big smile and love. The son Matteo makes the best pizza in Antigua. The bar is a great spot to chill and meet friends. Papa Greek is usually around smoking cigars, and full of wisdom. Itâs a healthy mix of Greece and New York with a cool Caribbean vibe. Highly recommended while in Antigua

âTicchio Italian food and wineâ is located, located at Village Walk (next to Woods Mall) is a shop that sells Italian food products and wines. Fresh mozzarella di bufala and burrata arrive weekly by air from Italy. By order, they can also provide fresh bl
Tucked in the corner of a shopping precinct/area on Friar's Hill Road next to a supermarket, do not overlook this restaurant, (which also sells authentic Italian food items). Nicely decorated and casual inside. Service (from Jason) was impeccable and not out of place in a 5-star establishment. He is amazing, very skilled and adds to the dining experience. We also appreciated the owner coming over to say hello/introduce himself. The food is fantastic and large portions too. By husband declared it's the best lasagna he's ever had and my spaghetti & meatballs was fabulous too. The summer season hours are Mon-Sat 10am - 10pm. They also do a great take-out menu. This must be one of the only/few restaurants in Antigua that has air-con. Not everyone enjoys eating outside, being hot and sharing their meal with flies/mozzies. Definitely recommend to anyone and will re-visit.
