We called in as it seemed busy with locals. Although it was very busy we were found a table in a quiet room at the back which suited us and all done with smiles on faces and no fuss.Excellent wine and great choice of pizza.

Beside being located in a very nice ambiance where the modern mountain style is dominant I come here for the tasting experience. The chef as he indicates in the restaurant name tries to enhance all the taste buds. And he succeeds. I tried a slow cooked octopus: the warmth of the octopus itself with the fresh tomatoes the crunchiness of the Bernd and the bitterness of the lemon ( maybe to much) is tantalizing. I continued with a slow cooked baby pig with hazelnuts, and crisp polenta with vinegars balls: a very good equilibrium of tastes. Desser...fresh... Cromatically very ice. I usually like something more tasty. I was proposed wine by the glass and the suggestions where very good. Last time I was disappointed by the service, now I cannot comment it as it has been very professional but there where very few tables to be served. Grazie da tutti noi, lieti di riaccogliervi!

We went for dinner a couple of times in May and June and really recommend. Prices are really reasonable, pizzas are great, the panna cotta was one of the best we had across our trip and the creme brûlée was awesome! The owner or manager (not sure which) had total recall of which dish we all ordered (there were 18 of us) and even brought a round of Lemoncello to our table after we settled the bill. We will go back again next year for sure.

In my opinion this is one of the best restaurants in the village of Bormio. Very tasty food. Risotto with porcini mushrooms is just amazing! I was born and raised in Valtellina and have had the local pizzoccheri and sciatt in literally dozens of restaurants and as many homes of family and friends. Eira's offering are right up there in the top 5%, and undoubtedly the best of half a dozen we tried in Bormio. We followed the owner's recommendation and tried samplers of the daily specials... a feast for the senses with some very clever variations of the usual traditional fare, and some unusual local delights.Pleasant enough ambiance with stunning views. So popular with the locals you may have to put up with some noisy Italian mealtime cheerfulness.... so not for a quiet romantic dinner.... but top of the tops cuisine and local color.

After a sunny week of skiing in Bormio, nothing couldâve put our vacation to a closure in a better way, than visiting the Enoteca Guanella. Located behind an Enoteca (wine shop) at the main street, the restaurant offers a charming and very welcoming atmosphere. Service was personal and warm. The menu isnât the most extensive, but on the other hand it holds great variability. Itâs likely that everyone in your company will find something that theyâll like. After deciding on what to eat, the really exiting part of the dining experience starts. Instead of a traditional wine list, the Enoteca and all of its selection, is on the menu. You simply walk around the shop, with an advisor, and pick out the wine (or wines) that suits your food or mood. And at the same price as if you were to buy it over the counter, plus a small service fee. If you donât finish your bottle, you can get the cork put back in it and bring it back home. Or as we did, buy another bottle to take home.Me and my wife had a three meal course, while our two boys had two.The food was maybe not exceptional, but still very very good. Presented in a refined fashion and well balanced in composure and taste, it felt like a lot of love was put in to all dishes.Taking all things into consideration, this was one of the most pleasant dining experiences that weâve had in a long time. And Italians being Italians, our children (aged 9 and 7) were treated like royalty.Weâll return to Bormio. And when we do, weâll make sure to visit the Enoteca Guanella again!

The philosophy of Gavioli is the continuous search for quality and freshness of raw materials. All the ingredients on our menu are subject to high quality controls. The restaurant, formerly a barn of the 1600s, was the meeting point of the Dossorovina dep
Everything about this restaurant is great. From the starters to the first and second courses they exceeded our expectations which were high already. The duck was the best we have had and the venison was great. The risotto made with red wine and sausage was the best risotto ever-2 people in our party exclaimed. Service was impeccable as was the setting. Put this on your short list for Bormio!
