The Algarve's sunny shores offer perfect escapes for all types, from those seeking the hot nightlife of flashy, energetic Lagos to those desiring secluded stays in rambling Sagres. Portugal's most southerly region offers historical attractions in former Moorish capital Silves and fascinating Tavira, great golf, fabulous beaches from Praia da Luz to Armacao de Pera, thermal springs at Caldas de Monchique, and miles of limestone caves and grottoes, cliffs and bays along its rugged coastline.

Beautiful spot to see the yachts and supercars which line the Marina. Buzzing atmosphere especially at night.Plenty of cafes bars and restaurants to choose from most doing excellent seafood and local Portugese food.Nice place to walk right around with beaches at either end. Plenty of places to book on a boat trip to see Dolphins or the local sea caves or paragliding for the more adventurous. We found the area to be friendly to families with children too and we tended to eat earlier in the evening before it got too busy.

This week during the first real summer days, we visited the Praia do Porto de Mos, and it was fantastic. There are also several restaurants, its simply a super beach. When you are sportive you can also walk from Praia do Mos over the cliffs to Praia de Luz, with amazing views over the sea !!

Great to walk around and watch the beautiful boats. Also, hundreds of fish swimming around. We sat in the main marina and had a refreshing drink whilst watching the world go by. Absolutely lovely.

It is now thirteen years since the safest and most sheltered marina in the country opened its waters to boat owners, in the city of Albufeira. This marina is part of a high-quality tourist complex which includes in its development hotels, restaurants, bars, a nautical club, shops, swimming-pools, apartments, villas and a recreational and leisure centre. The most sophisticated support services are available to all sailors and their boats, in addition to a permanent, friendly and highly professional service. Marina de Albufeira enjoys an ideal geographical location, in the Algarve, right at the end of the motorway from Lisbon and 40 kilometres from Faro airport, providing all the necessary conditions to keep even the most demanding seafarers happy. The environmental impact of the marina was one of our top priorities right from the beginning, so we are very pleased to inform you that the Environment Management Systems of the Marina de Albufeira are certified, since 2008, under ISO 14001. On this matter, in 2016 the marina, was once again awarded with the European Blue Flag and has been distinguished with the 5 Gold Anchors Award of The Yacht Harbour Association and British Marine Federation and it was considered the Runner Up Internacional Marina of the year 2015. We eagerly await your visit, certain that the conditions you will find here in Marina de Albufeira will provide you with a rewarding experience that you will want to repeat, year after year.
We recently visited the marina at Albufeira and were extremely delighted. There was an agricultural and fishing extravaganza on and was very entertaining. The marina which is quite new was quite delightful and there were plenty of lovely bars and restaurants lining the boardwalk. Well worth the visit and highly recommended.

we visited Marina de Portimao with our 39ft sailing boat for a few days. friendliest staff, good facilities, great mooring help. inexpensive for such a great area. closeby great anchor spots such as Ferragudo and Alvor (do not miss spending a night in Alvor lagoon!). tip: north marina bay is quieter than the south. and the showers are nicer ;)
