Little oasis in the desert
Reviewed By pjack358We originally booked for camping at Goibib but as we needed to get a very early start to get across the border we decided to rather stay in the available rooms. We were very impressed by the friendliness of the staff and enjoyed our stay in the clean and comfortable rooms. I would really recommend Goibib as a stay over, especially when travelling toward the SA border as it is only 2 hours away. PS: The camping facilities are also very neat and we would have loved to camp there.

Eight luxury chalets which are comfortably furnished with a private patio overlooking the Auob Riverbed and the red dunes beyond. Rooms were designed to maximize airflow allowing for natural circulation of air to maintain comfortable temperatures during the hot summers and a well-lighted atmosphere. Each room has en-suite bathroom facilities with a small kitchenette and a share campfire pit between two chalets under the stars.

I will go back in the summer with my friends .

Reviewed By carolinesturgeonThe trip was part of a five week tour of Namibia with friends. The location of the lodge is unparalleled. The service of lodge staff is very good and they are accommodating and very hospitable. Unfortunately the weather was vert cold with gale force winds. There were numerous power problems creating electric shocks in the showers which was extremely concerning. Hot water is a major issue and the size of the ned - small double made for uncomfortable sleeping. However the staff were extremely helpful and moved us to a twin bedded room which was a major improvement. An excellent vegetarian dinner option was prepared for us.

Reviewed By Saskia MWe travelled in a group. My partner and i got a fully equiped family room with kitchen and sitting area. We only slept here, hadn't much time. The restaurant is under construction, so we went out for dinner. Sunset and sunrise were beautiful here

Reviewed By Roam14436690781Sandfontein Lodge is a very special place. It’s quiet, professional, absolutely beautiful and relaxing. The starkness of the reserve is what makes this place so intriguing. It’s well appointed and the suites are exquisite. The staff are attentive and friendly. Chéri and Adriaan are wonderful hosts and superbly knowledgeable. Our kids were made to feel part of the family. This is a rare and wonderful place. An absolute must visit in Namibia.

Peaaceful Retreat
Reviewed By Dawn vHad the pleasure of stopping here during our Namibian road trip as two couples. The welcome was warm and friendly and the rooms very clean. Wifi was a bonus at the pool area and the hospitality bar to unwind and relax after the stressful journey over the border. The highlights were the wonderful dog (Aura) who walked everywhere with us and the amazing dinner made by the farm ladies. It was wholesome and plentiful and very tasty. Actually, on our two-week trip, I would say the best meal of all - and we ate at some fancy places - but homecooked down-to-earth food is the best. Thank you Erich and your team for making us feel so welcome and relaxed.

Nice apartment with amazing view
Reviewed By ncreme416342This apartment is well equipped and you can nicely prepare meals there. The big bed is really comfortable. I especially liked the spacious shower, even lotion and soap are there. What I enjoyed every day was opening the curtains in the morning and enjoying the view over the sea, sometimes with fisherboats. The owner is helpful and friendly and organized transfers/taxi.
