Reviews on Italian food in Oxford, England, United Kingdom. In the "city of dreaming spires," academia takes center stage. Gaze out at Oxford's world-famous university from the top of Carfax Tower before heading into the city's pedestrian-friendly streets. Follow your nose to the Covered Market for the makings of a picnic to enjoy at Headington Hill Park. Mix the historic and modern with visits to the 12th-century village church of Iffley and trendy Cowley's ethnic shops and music venues.

Absolutely wonderful visit to Mario's, never been before but had walked past a million times so finally decided to go, I was super pleasantly surprised. Food was delicious, cheap and filling - the atmosphere was amazing, seems like a cozy family run place. Can't believe I'd never visited before, definetly not the last time I do. Great for student budgets, prices are reasonable and portions are huuuuuge.

After opening over 15 years ago in the heart of cosmopolitan Jericho, Branca has firmly established itself as a bustling, vibrant bar & restaurant with an extensive modern European menu, a destination deli next door and beautiful garden terrace for al fre
We needed a lovely environment for a business lunch, somewhere peaceful yet a bit of atmosphere and Branco definitely fits the bill. The staff were so friendly, the menu was perfect with lovely salads and great choices plus a whole deli counter full of awesome looking sandwiches, rolls and pastries. We loved our food - I had salmon salad which was really perfectly cooked with a lovely chargrilled smoky taste. Damian our waiter was really engaging and helpful, he made the experience even nicer. Will definitely return!

More than 30 years of perfect, hand made, fresh pizza!!
Having booked the Giggling Squid across the road at my daughters request to celebrate her graduation we left due to being sat in a basement with a party of around 12 extremely intoxicated diners who could only communicate by shouting at each other. Requests for an alternative table denied we decided to leave and found Mamma Mia across the road. What a great move!! We were welcomed and offered a choice of tables. There were adequate staff to meet the demands of the diners and the food was excellent. I wouldnât hesitate to recommend Mamma Mia to anyone looking for great food at a reasonable price, with fantastic friendly service. Dear FamilyB123. Thank you for your lovely feedback. Your maximum grade makes us very pleased. Special thanks for mentioning our excellent food and service. It's always nice to see that our guests recognize our effort to make their meal unforgettable.Looking forward to seeing you soon!

Fresh Hand Made Pizza Since 1981....Great Pasta a& Antipasto too!
Very cheaply made "Italian" meals that come in such small portions (I had the gorgonzola and walnut ravioli) and for a very high price: 13 pounds for something that is the size of a starter. Ravioli were overcooked, pesto was just full of salt and I couldn't taste any gorgonzola; the carbonara that I tried of a friend was packed with cream and very heavy. Horrible.I am so sorry you did not enjoy your meal with us. We would have happily remade your order and offered other dishes if we had known when we checked back.I'd love hear back from you if you could please call me directly at the restaurant.Thank you.

I was recommended this restaurant by a college, I was looking for a romantic, fancy place to go for a dinner date with my boyfriend. It was certainly a lovely evening: the staff were friendly and accommodating, there is an excellent choice of food and vegan menu. The food was delicious and very good value for money. Pricey wine but the bubbles were very much enjoyed! My only criticism would be that the restaurant lacked character inside (no candles or pretty things around to make it more romantic). But otherwise would recommend this gem of a restaurant.
