Amazing Italian food, pizza, pasta, salads and most amazing grill. The location is directly on the beach with a beautiful view.

The pizza is very thin and tasty but the seafood pasta was very disappointing. Only mussels and few mini shrimps in it. Was very busy and it took quite long until the drinks arrived.

My friend and I were looking for a place to east something simple like pizza. There were few expensive restourants (like two) by the waterfront (promenade). We continue to walk and saw this fastfood place. Even they have great pizza cuts (by the look) we took tortilla. Amazing! Service fantastic and cold drinks like cola and beer was all we needed! Great place for simple meal to save time and money.

This is perhaps my fifth visit, and perhaps the best yet. Ambience is consistently great. Downstairs is traditional and warm, with soft lighting, spacious seating. Upstairs is a very romantic and with wonderful rooftop view on the sunset.We started with cheese selection, which has the perfect amount of various types of cheese, including cheese from Pag (traditional Croatian), Grana Padano, cheese from Livno and mature cow cheese. For mains, we had Striploin Porin, Pasta all' arrabiata, Ribeye and Salmon fillet. Unbelievable meals and all prepared perfectly. I loved Dry aged Porin Striploin, It doesn't get any better, just so rich and very tender.For dessert, the two of us had a delicious Tiramisu and our friends ordered Pannacota. I think this two are right up there with the best.What stood out for me this time, and made the experience the best yet, was the exceptional service and attention to our every need. It is more service than you are used to in Makarska, or anyplace for that matter. Just great.Last but not least, I want to mention, this is one of the best Cocktail and Gin offer in Makarska. After the dinner, we had cocktails and enjoyed view on the sea on the restaurant Porin rooftop terrace. That was a great way to wind down at the end of your day and enjoy the cool evening breeze.In summary, the combination of excellent food, large portions, and fair value for the money, in a comfortable, well-appointed ambiance, make this a well-deserved top rating. Cannot wait to return!

We visited here most evenings after dinner for Coffee and Sambuca. Although we only had drinks and coffee we were always welcomed warmly with a smile. The team look genuinely happy and the food being served looked great too. A nice touch in the bathrooms were face wipes and cotton buds. All very clean too.

After a break of 2yrs it was lovely to dine again at the Maritimo. It was also lovely to see some familiar faces who still worked there(sorry we missed you blondie on reception) Food still of a high standard with friendly courteous service

Me and my friend had pizza at this place and it was very bad. We could not eat our pizza's although we were hungry after couple of beers. The chicken on my pizza was black color. The amount of low quality/gummy cheese on my friend's pizza (napolitana) was crazy (around 300 g) and it tasted quite old... We could not eat it and we were very dissapointed. Will never go back to this place. Well sir, after a few beers human man is not capable to read menu normally. You should know that when you grill chicken, it is normal that grill leave black stripes. As for pizza "napolitana", you were not even capable to see that napolitana pizza is served with mozzarella cheese, not gauda. You should buy it sometimes, then you would maybe realize than is is not about us.And please, try grill chicken, and let us know if it gets a little bit black ;)Delete this, people a laughing to you.Lots of love, Central stuff

Definitely climbing up to the list of top restaurants in Makarska. Food was delicious. We had tuna burger and scampi risotto - both perfect. Staff is super friendly offering great services and making you feel welcome and appreciated. Location is also very nice - at the top of the old square in Makarska. and the bonus goes to teh fact that they work throughout the year. definitely recommendation!

Went here twice as was nice and close to our hotel. Food was excellent and the staff were very friendly. We were just disappointed that on either occasion were there any dessert. Would go back bra size the starter and main were great, it would just have been nice to finish it off with a sweet.
