First time in Carluccio's and it was a little disappointing.Went on a Saturday afternoon, place was very busy and had a decent atmosphere.Ordered a couple of drinks and had a look at the menu, there's a fair amount of choice and a specials board.Went for the lasagna with a side of garlic bread and the sea bass.Food came within a reasonable time, few issues, the garlic bread was a salty as hell, i was still drinking liquid 4 hours later and the sea bass was very crispy, sea bass is very delicate and just needs to see the pan, this has seen it for a minute too long really, the salsa with the sea bass was really really garlicky, i don't mind it but it was commented on in the pub later, #garlicbreath,Service was OK although we were bought a wrong dish to start and when finished the plates were left on our table for ages, i had to ask for them to be cleared, there was plenty of staff around.£45 for 2 mains and 2 drinks.Try somewhere else next time.Hello Joematrix, we appreciate you taking the time to leave us this feedback. Here at Carluccio's - Leicester, we strive for excellence, and are disappointed to hear that you received anything less. If there is anything we can do to make your experience a positive one please don't hesitate to contact us at [email protected]

Offering fresh, authentic Italian piattini, small dishes (from bruschettas to lasagna and chicken cacciatore) that are big on flavour so you can enjoy more of them during one meal.
Warm friendly greeting on arrival and our table was ready and waiting. Our waitress Sam was lovely..service with a genuine smile and very friendly which made us feel very welcome. The menu is tapas style and very varied which caters for many tastes and dietry needs; our order came out very hot and tasted great as always..compliments to the kitchen staff. We ordered a sweet and 2 members of staff came to our table with it, and a sparkling candle was with the dessert..they then sang "Happy Birthday" to my wife which was a great personal touch. It was busy and had an excellent atmosphere, but service was spot on.Highly recommended for couples, families or parties alike.Service, Food and atmoshere 5 stars!Thank you for a lovely evening.Hello,Thank you for your amazing 5* review of our restaurant! We are so pleased yourself and your wife enjoyed your time, especially hearing that our staff went the extra mile for you!We will make sure our lovely server Sam is well rewarded for all her hard work.See you soon,The White Horse Team

An uber-cool Wood oven Pizzeria in Leicester, keeping it simple, slow-rise sourdough pizzas that are topped with a volcanic grown tomato, fiori di latte cheese, cured meats, and cooked for 90 seconds.Serving bottled refreshments, with furniture which is a
We have been before, but took the niece and nephew this time.Well the thin crust pizzas, and good choice of toppings went down a treat. Also a couple of nice bottles of ale (including a dark one) on offer for the grown ups.Good friendly staff in a quirky setting of an old Gentleman's Club brought up to date with a number of film posters and paraphernalia.Hi alanhardwickThanks for taking the time to write us a review. We love that you enjoyed our pizzas and our beers. See you again very soon in one of our restaurants.

After a business trip to Leicester yesterday my wife and I decided to have lunch at Casa Romana.Despite our late arrival,it was past 14.00,and last orders are 14.30.We were warmly welcomed by both members of the front of house staff who were friendly and efficient. We chose this restaurant because it is a "traditional" Italian owned establishment which appealed to our taste. We may be old fashioned but we love the traditional atmosphere and character of such restaurants which are sadly difficult to find nowadays. The menu contained many of our favourites plus a good selection of fish "specials" on the blackboard. The food was promptly served and was excellent. The quantity being very substantial for even my large appetite. The prices were also very reasonable. We can't wait to visit this "hidden gem" behind the green door again.Thank you for your hospitality.

We had such high hopes for this place as we have been reading reviews for ages and were so excited to go. We were expecting a cozy homestyle Italian restaurant that is not a chain. We were utterly disappointed. We ordered Bruschetta starters and were already confused about the wording on the menu (bread with tomatoes and garlic butter). First of all there is absolutely no butter on traditional italian bruschetta and when it came to the table we found it to be toasted garlic bread with 3 halfed tomatoes on top. When the mains came the pizza that we ordered was bland with absolutely no flavour to it whatsoever. The pasta was ok, nothing special. We refrained from having dessert. We were looking for a gidden gem in the city with AUTHENTIC, FRESH and TASTY food but have to say that this is not the place to go.

Welcome to Sapori! Benvenuti! âSaporiâ is Italian for âflavoursâ and this encapsulates the character of this authentic Italian family restaurant, run with passion and dedication. Situated in the heart of Anstey, Sapori is only 10 minutes drive from Leices
We have been coming to Sapori since its opening night and we think the food, service and ambience just gets better and better. Our dinner on Friday evening was excellent in every respect. We're delighted to see that the Good Food Guide listing has gone from being a 'Local Gem' to a full one with a cooking score. This is fully deserved. One of our party had eaten in another Good Food Guide restaurant the day before and declared his halibut on Friday far superior.Andrea uses the freshest ingredients and cooks with imagination and flair. Everything is beautifully presented and Luigi and the Team always make us feel so very welcome. If you're looking for somewhere really good to eat in this area, you cannot beat SaporiThank you so much for this kind review and for supporting Sapori along our journey over the last 8 years! It may interest you to know that we are also featured in the Michelin Guide 2020 for the first time. It really is a pleasure to look after knowledgeable and discerning customers such as yourselves.

Best Italian Restaurant in Leicester. Welcome to Oggi, the home of Italian cuisine in Leicester. Our restaurant is located close to the centre of the city and boasts not only delicious food but also a personal, intimate environment to enhance your dining
We were pleasantly surprised that they had a table available at short notice on a Friday! Weâre all vegetarian and have been there before - they have lots of vegetarian choice but we like the cannelloni penne arrabbiata and mushroom starter so much that we donât venture away from these favourites ! The food is always amazing as is the red wine but then you add the amazing service - all the waiters are great but Rino in particular is amazing, he was serenading an Elvis song, making my daughter laugh heâs the perfect balance between friendly, attentive without being too much - this is definitely my favourite Italian - oh i forgot to mention deserts - tiramisu or profiteroles - spoilt for choice ! Just make sure you book in advance though !
