The name of this restaurant does not do it justice it is not just a pizzeria, though the people I have been there with that love pizza love the pizza here. This is a much better Italian Restaurant & Beyond! I am originally from the Northeast where Italian food is very real and very good, there are serious deficiencies in the quality of Italian food here in Jacksonville. But not at Picasso's! They make meatballs that can compete with the best I've ever had, their sauce while a little bit spicy for me, is fantastic. But here's the kicker, being from the New York area and loving pastrami sandwiches I have been hunting for a decent pastrami sandwich since I arrived in Jacksonville 5 years ago, and until last night I had no success. But last night I had the pastrami sandwich, or correction, the 1/2 of pastrami sandwich, which was the size of a good size pastrami sandwich anywhere else, and found that it was good enough to compete with most of the pastrami sandwiches I've had in the Northeast. To the owners of Picasso's I would say thank you! I would also say, while I don't put your pastrami sandwich in the same class as Katz's Deli in New York City, I think it is better than everything I've had almost everywhere else! I hope you take this as a compliment oh, it is meant to be the highest compliment. So in closing, all I can say to those who have not been to Picasso's, get there as soon as you can, be hungry, and enjoy some of the best food you're going to have in the Jacksonville area. Finally, one last thing, the wait staff is absolutely perfect.

Not sure why the raving reviews... the food was above average and there is a nice selection of items on the menu, but the place is filthy. Everything in there from the ceiling to the floor either needs a bleach wipe down or complete replacement. The floor was so disgusting that we were sliding, in sneakers! The bathroom was gross and the door looked like someone punched it. Place smells like a dirty sponge. This was our first timeWe walked in and someone hollered sit wherever you likeThe table big enough was dirtyWaited minutes for someone to come clean it so we could sit No greeting or welcome just cleaned and walked awayWe clearly had kids with us and we had to ask if they had a kids menuWe had to flag a guy down to say we would like to order an appetizer The sprite in the fountain clearly was out of syrup and we advised and asked for more. Guy said he wasnât sure what he had in the back and asked for us to pick something else!No help with menu or asked if we had been before, my name is...Brought check out and didnât inquire if we wanted dessert or anything elseWe asked for desserts to go and asked for a recommendation and she seemed bothered Than we had to wait so long to check out that I walked up to the counter to pay Overall experience was really fair-poor, but food was excellent. Would only go for take out but considering where itâs located I think we would pass.

Welcome to Maggiano's Little Italy in Jacksonville, located at St. Johns Town Center. Maggiano's specializes in serving lavish portions of authentic Southern Italian cuisine served family-style. Our menu is large and varied, offering a great selection o
The restaurant is in St Johns Town Centre where there is plenty of free car parking. It was a Saturday evening and everywhere was very busy, including here. We managed to get a table quickly though. The service was excellent throughout. It was obvious that our waitress was very busy with a number of tables but she moved quickly between tables and always took a few minutes to chat. A real star. The menu is quite large and there are a number of combinations you can chose. We were very happy with what we had, both quality and quantity. Highly recommended

Taverna draws inspiration from the simplicity and warmth of rustic Italian kitchens. Located in Jacksonvilleâs historic San Marco neighborhood, this rustic, yet sophisticated dining destination has earned many accolades since opening in 2009.
Although we had read that Taverna was noisy, we were unprepared for the high decibels inside! Fortunately, a table became available outside for us to dine. Our server was friendly and helpful, and we very much enjoyed our meals of the burrata and the beet salad with salmon for me and meatballs (a bit too garlicky and we love garlic) and the short ribs for hubby. All plentiful and tasty. The noise level is the main drawback, however.

The atmosphere in this place is quirky but fun. The staff are an eclectic mix but are super friendly and helpful. You order pizza by the slice here and it doesnât disappoint. I got the Maui wow I which is an upgraded Hawaiian. My boyfriend got the t-Rex which is a carnivoreâs dream. The fresh mozzarella on the pizza and the garlic herb crust makes each bite savory and delicious. Order a local brew to go along with it and youâve got a great meal.
