One very busy night we had trouble finding a spot in a good restaurant with vegetarian options. We walked passed Tre Ombre looked at the menu and the staff helped us to our table immediately. The service is really good. They are very helpful and attentive. The food was excellent! I had a sicilian crostata and my friend had the pasta a la norma. Very tasty real food! The place is spacious, modern and clean and you can see all the way into the kitchen. I loved it here, felt very welcome and would recommend it to everyone!

We went here for a pizza as we fancied one. It took a long time for our order to be taken. That said we were enjoying the lovely views across the bay. We went for the famous fish soup and shared a pizza. The soup was watery but developed taste after we added seasoning and croutons. Our pizza was good, thin and crispy. This place is good for families too. Soup was priced heavy at â¬13 we felt but overall an 'OKish' meal accompanied with slow service in a pleasant location.

Reading the wonderful comments and seeing the high rating, we came to eat one night purposely for le cote palmier. What a disappointment. The two pizzas were basically identical except of the last ingredient. Overall quality of the dough was disappointing and it tasted like nothing, was chewy and simply unpleasant. Travelibg with the kids, i have tasted a very broad range over the past years in this part of France and this must be within the bottom 5%... Also, the cheese used and the other ingredients seem to be of overall cheap quality. Sad as they have a wood fired oven and could produce amazing stuff. I had the beef filet. Ordered medium and got it blue, ok my mistake that i did not complain. Since it was so briefly cocked, it also got cold very fast. The problem then is that often the French are grilling without any spices, no mustard, no salt, no pepper and serve it without any sauche or herbed butter or something... so quite bland. Nice piece of meat but execution again leaving a lot to desire... Service was fast. Meal served within 8 minutes may explain that there is no love or pride going into those dishes. Outside seating seems the key for the place but it's too busy and overrated in my view. Also like smiles from waiters which are real... Last but not least the housewine is nothing special.Perhaps I am wrong... but my disappointment is real.

There's no doubt that the best thing about this place is the location, in a pretty courtyard amongst the alleyways of Le Lavandou, set back a little way from the sea front. More than half the available tables are outside. We visited on a Sunday evening and had not made a booking (the more highly-rated places were all full). We were offered a table in the alleyway which benefits from electric radiant heaters. Service was fast but charmless. There's an extensive menu. We went for the Menu Mediterranne(â¬32) and the Menu Lavandou (â¬26). A bottled beer (IPA) was â¬5.80 and a 50cl bottle of sparkling mineral water (Perrier) was â¬3.50.Unfortunately, the food was very poor. This is tourist catering on a large scale and it showed. Food was not freshly prepared but seemed like it came from a conveyor belt. Which is a good analogy for this place, as a whole. Get 'em in, feed them poor quality dishes and then get them out again. Flavours were lacking, textures were dull and lifeless. My lamb tagine was full of bones while my wife's fish had been cooked to death and was full of bones. The fruit salad and ice cream was perhaps the highlight of our meal. Most of the puddings were covered with spray cream. We have had many better meals in Le Lavandou. The moral of this tale is: book (somewhere better) in advance!Overall bill for three courses, two people, came to â¬67.30 without wine.

We come to France most years and this is the only restaurant we always go back to. Beautiful and quaint setting, the owners are always smiling, the pasta and sauce is unbelievably delicious - what's not to love? Portions are very generous and prices are extremely reasonable. Plus the house rose is fantastic too!

It is a well visited terrace restaurant with a relaxed atmosphere (plastic tables and chairs), located next to the main road. Parking is easy, right in front of the place. We followed a recommendation by a local, who described the restaurant as a good seafood and pizza place.Unfortunately we can't agree. The antipasti tasted like straight out of a can from a cheap supermarket, the deep fried seafood was greasy and rather unsalted. Best of all was the pizza, which was a bit on the soft side and again very limited, if not free of any salt, spices or herbs.Maybe we had a bad day, but this place seems to be way too expensive for the quality served. We will try other alternatives.

While staying at the excellent Le Petit Boheme Hotel nearby a reservation was made for us on the recommendation of the Patron. We were not disappointed. We had and excellent Soupe de Poisson and Salade de Chevre to start, followed by a sweet and flavoursome duck. The deserts are good too. Nothing seems to be bought in. The kitchen is adjacent and the smell of food actually being cooked, rather than heated up, is a welcome sign. An inexpensive pichet of a very nice house white too. Mid priced menu of 22 euros. Even on a Thursday evening in early February it was busy with local custom - a good sign.

Still a great pizza. Make sure you call as you can wait hours during peak season. Unlike other pizza in the region it's not smothered with cheese. You can get a card and when you buy 10 pizzas you get the 11th free.

This is a very nice, welcoming restaurant, which looks after its customers with politeness and discretion. We had several delicious meals here at a reasonable price and the owner was extremely helpful. I'd also like to give her a personal thank you for helping my family and I out with the local buses, allowing us to sit on the cushioned area at the side of the restaurant while our bus turned up, without any obligation to buy a drink. We ordered some anyway, and when the bus turned up early, she stopped it for us and told not to worry about paying until later! That was after already having rescued us from standing in the wrong direction for St Tropez. What a lovely lady! We came here last year when holidaying in Cavalière and just liked the easy atmosphere of the place and it was definitely on our list to come back to this year. It was also clearly a restaurant for locals too. We've already booked our holiday for next year, so look forward to seeing you again.
