Located in a basement close the railway station and the Friday market it looks more like a wine cellar/bar. In fact, the red wine I had was delicious. The home made pasta was nothing to write home about. Not sure I would choose again to eat âbelow groundâ in beautiful Merano.Modestly priced and very friendly service thoughDear Mr. Stephan J, thank you very much for your compliments about our stuff. We have a small but well selected assortment of wine and are very happy that you liked our red wine. It's very important for us, to offer only the best quality, wheter it be our wine or our provided menu, therefore we're very sorry that you didn't liked our homemade Pasta. Our Location was a well known and much loved Restaurant which we refurbished and reconstructet, always respecting the old fashioned style of the Location. The dinners here were very special, with dishes prepared for taste and eye appeal. The soups were very delicious: eg Kohlenblumen Creme Suppe. There was a Gala Dinner with Reh (Venison) on the main course. Everyting is prepared fresh and served piping hot - except the Gespacho! Desserts were artfully served and complimented the meals.

Hallo,during a short break 2 weeks ago I went with some friends Merano. We visited inter alia the restaurant âRametzâ.Not only the ambience was very appealing also the price performance ratio was excellent!The menue and wine list is well chosen and clearly for everyone.In my circle of friends there were no complains. All were satisfied to the utmost with the food.Especially noteworthy was the service: friendly, attentive, courteous and unobtrusive, and very professional â particularly in advising food and beverage selection.In a next stay in Merano I will definitely visit again restaurant âRametzâ.This restaurant is especially recommended.Many thanks for the pleasant hours !!!!

Very popular local spot with super South Tyrolean food. We ate in a medical kitchen with 2 tables beside a log fire. Very rustic, cosy and romantic. The food was over priced, but the atmosphere made up for this.

We went to this restaurant with my husband's elderly parents and they were delighted. There were also many young people eating there.The food was presented so well and originally and tasted fantastic. They bake fresh bread samples that they supply with the meals, and we had a salad and little entre taster as a " gift from the kitchen"! The staff were very attentive and friendly. It was not cheap, but also not outrageously expensive. Quite a homely atmosphere where you can feel pretty comfortable.

This place is high up at the end of a serpentine road. A fun way to get above it all and have a splendid view out over miles of receding mountains, the merano valley and the town. But the place is also about a superb menu with varied choices that were prepared to our great satisfaction. Very nice all around. The restaurant is run by two brothers, one the chef and the other the greeter, waiter and general host. Super nice. Not quite sure how this place draws customers as it is, to say the least, out of the way. But it's well worth the experience . It's a little expensive but not that much so considering the complete experience.
