Bubbling mineral springs and pools promise maximum relaxation in Rotorua, on New Zealand's North Island. Therapeutic hot mud pools, dramatic geysers and a buried village are within easy reach of the city. What happens in the bubbling mud geysers of "Rotovegas"—the area at the top of Fenton Street—stays in Rotovegas. Once you've made the most of the mud, soar nearly 2,000 feet on the Skyline Gondola for views of Lake Rotorua, then zip back down to explore the lake by paddle steamer, fishing charter or WWII amphibious vehicle.

Ohakune and the worldâs best burgers have arrived in Rotorua. On business lunch, heard The Finch had opened and popped in for a burger. The burger was not surprisingly delicious. Just like Ohakune, there was a plethora of craft beers available and the coffee was excellent. The clients I took here were impressed. And among the super friendly staff, I noticed The Blind Finch himself. Thanks for opening here Derek, its just an hours drive from my home. Yay!!

Perseverance is your neighbourhood cafe We open early morning with fresh cabinet food & breakfast menu We offer made to order gourmet style burgers, fries, fresh salad, great fair trade organic coffee, beer & wine to toast
This place-owned by a young couple is too open, too uncomfortable and too noisy, The food is very mediocre and too highly priced . They have a lot to learn,Dear ChilliwiliNZ,Thanks for taking your time and writing your review.Yes of course we have a lot to learn. We have been in this business for 3 weeks now and like every other new businesses we have our own teething issue. However, we are surprised to know that a $8.90 gourmet burger is too highly priced and $ 4.50 organic coffee is expensive in a restaurant environment. We wish this young couple would have met you at our cafe. When you are new and especially when you are passionate about the work you do, you do tend to recognize every single table you serve and every single guest you meet.We will be glad and will be very interested to know when did you dine with us?We are concerned that you felt uncomfortable as per your review.None of other reviews reflects that our food is our mediocre and too highly priced. If there is a way that we can send you a copy of our menu, we will be happy to do so. We wish we could upload our menu here. Please take my direct number - 02102998534 and i will be glad to answer all your queries regarding your review and it would be great to hear some honest feedback from you.We look forward to hear from you.RegardsNitin & Mary

Saigon '60s - Rotorua's most authentic Vietnamese food, offers a large range of Pho noodle soups and Vietnamese coffee. 11am to 9pm, 7days a week. Casual dining or takeaway, lunch or dinner. All dietary requirements.
Had read reviews about this 1 yr old restaurant, so we stopped in. It is run by 2 young college grads, one a biz major, the other a bio-tech major. They met, married and discovered food was a common passion. Read their wall. It tells their story. All broth and ingredients are made on site. Broth takes 2days to make. Bottom line: a worthwhile place for phô.Thank you so much. It was a pleasure meeting you and your wive last week. I regret that I didn't have enough time to talk and learn more about you two nd what brings Vietnamese foods to your interest. I just like to express my appreciation for your kindness and wonderful personalities.Wish you all the best for your trip. Regards, Betty

If you are looking for a great Rotorua restaurant for all taste buds, ages and occasions, look no further, because even the fussiest of eaters will love Chapmanâs Buffet Restaurant. We are a favourite among the locals, serving up a delicious breakfast and
Chapman's Restaurant is a buffet with a nice selection to choose from. We found the salads, appetizers and desserts to be pretty good and the vegetables and main dishes to be underwhelming. On the plus side the oysters and muscles were very good. The carvings and other meats were very dried out and seemed bland to us. The variety at the dessert bar was excellent. We tried small bites of many desserts and really enjoyed them. (Normally we don't really care for dessert, but it was right there calling our names!)We were seated promptly without a reservation. We ordered a jug of water and by the time we returned from the buffet there was a large chilled jug and extra napkins. The service from the hostess to the waitress to the cashier were excellent. We felt the cost of $104.55 NZ might be a little high for the quality served, but we were happy enough with dinner and would probably return when we are looking for a meal with a great deal of variety.Hi JCseminoleWe appreciate you taking the time to provide a review of our Chapmans dinner buffet. I'm sorry that you found the mains lacking but was pleased to read that there was plenty of other options that you enjoyed. We look forward to welcoming you back.RegardsMaureen

This cafe has become a favourite for us! Great people, homely retro feel with great coffee and food. Recently changed owners who have retained all the good stuff but made improvements with a fantastic new menu, including great takeaway options now in a front display cabinet. Lov your work guys, keep it up.
