Just four miles from the center of Lisbon, Belem (or Santa Maria de Belem) is best known for Belem Tower (or Torre), a 16th-century fortified lighthouse built to guard the port. This was, after all, the port from which famous Portuguese navigators like Vasco de Gama set off to explore the world. The area is also home to Belem Palace, built in the 16th century by King Manuel and now the official residence of Portugal’s president. Belem is also home to the magnificent Jerónimos Monastery.

Great place for a tartare. Friendly service, good wine. I had tuna tartare and it was great, very well prepared and seasoned. And it comes with a nice explanation of the ingredients. On top no problem with English or French and probably other languages.

We visited Zazah with my partner after someone we knew recommended the place. The restaurant is modern and has a very nice and fresh atmosphere. I always book before I go somewhere and I also let them know that is my partner's birthday. On arrival the staff was friendly and they took us to our table. We were offered the food and wine and cocktail list. Good variety of wines, many local ones too which is worth to try and nice cocktails, very well made. After selecting the drinks we went to the important stuff, the food. For starters we had the Cevicehe and the sauteed prawns with garlic. Both delicious and I think the ceviche was the best I ever had. For main I went for the ESCONDIDINHO DE BACALHAU, very rich and tasty dish. Creamy but you can taste the fish. I liked it but is a personal taste. If you want something lighter go for my partner's option , the TATAKI DE ATUM 220G. Amazingly made, very tasty and great quality tuna. For desert you have to have the BABA DE CAMELO DO ZAZAH. Very addictive, which I will not tell you what it is cause you have to try it. A note I would like to make is that with the desert they brought a candle for my partner's birthday and I appreciated the fact that they paid attention to my note. You must have experience a lot going to good restaurants , stating a special occasion and they just ignore or forget. Must visit restaurant , which I totally recommend. Thank you Zazah.Thank you for your review. We are delighted to know that your experience was really good and that you had such a nice time! We really thank you for your compliments. We work hard looking for this level of satisfaction. Hope to see you back soon. Zazah team.

Lovely, moist burgers at reasonable prices. Makes a nice change from tapas or seafood. The only downside is that you may have to wait for a table.

We will be open for dinner on Sunday, the 14th of February.
We visited Clube de Journalistas three years ago and decided to go back with some trepidation - we have frequently been disappointed when revisiting restaurants and hotels. Fortunately, we weren't disappointed; Clube de Journalistas was every bit as good as we remembered. The food is excellent and the service efficient and friendly. If the weather is good (and it nearly always is in Lisbon), the sunken garden is a lovely place to have dinner, with a calm and relaxed atmosphere. It was a bit quieter than we remember, it deserves to be full every night. We would thoroughly recommend Clube de Journalistas if you are looking for slightly special occasion that won't break the bank,

My family and I were absolutely blown away by this meal. We all selected the â4â course vegetarian tasting menu at 85 Euros a person which may sound pricey but well worth the cuisine and really amounted to 8 courses. The dishes were creative and representative of Portuguese tastes. The photos best describe the dishes (see below).Dear Mr. DadofAMT,Thank you for taking your valuable time and sharing your lovely feedback. It gives me immense pleasure to read through your comments and to know that you had such a pleasant dinner at Feitoria Restaurant.André FiguinhaFeitoria Guest Service
